Michael Phelps, the Micheal Phelps of 8-gold medal Olympic fame, proves, once again, that even role models need role models.
When a tabloid ran pics of him at a party smoking (what surely looks like a weed smoke filled bong to me), he quickly apologized for his behavior and vowed never to embarrass his fans and country again. He said similar stuff in 2004 when he got a DUI. Lest we forget.
So far major
corporate backers, which include Speedo, Omega, Visa, Subway, and Kelloggs,
have remained supportive. Interesting. I wonder for how long.
What do you think? Should his corporate sponsors give the famed Olympian a pass? Or should they pull out?
