The first day of school is usually pretty daunting, but imagine the first day being everyone else's 100th day. Then imagine you've moved into a new house in a new state, and oh yeah, your dad is the first African-American President of the United States. It's a lot to take in, but it's only the start of the whirlwind of change bound to envelope Sasha and Malia Obama.
The girls--aged 7 and 10-- will be educated on separate campuses at the private Sidwell Friends School. The school is a Quaker school--with tuition close to $30K per child--and one that the children of Washington elite have attended for many generations. Chelsea Clinton, daughter of the Clintons and was the last presidential daughter to attend.
