Kindergartners Swag Out at 'Millionaire Bash' After Reading 1 Million Words

In the age of modern technology and instant information, there's a strong possibility you've read more status updates lately than pages in a book. Our society seems to be moving further and further away from the art of interpreting printed words, which is one of the many reasons we can't help but applaud this awesome kindergarten class that read one million words in a year -- and rightfully celebrated with the party to end all parties!

The Britt David Elementary Computer Magnet Academy's kindergartners (who read an estimated 250 books this year!) celebrated the occasion with a "Millionaire Bash" -- complete with a limousine and a red carpet. Breyden Suragh commemorated the occasion in style with his classmates and teachers. And, by style, I mean he was ready for his close-up.

The 6-year-old Georgia gent-in-training was dressed as if to wow on Fashion Police in honor of his class's "Millionaire Bash" -- complete with a limousine and a red carpet to celebrate these amazing young readers.

"Breyden felt like a little celebrity during the millionaire celebration," Denetta Suragh, Breyden's mother, tells CafeMom. "He was excited to share this day with his classmates."

"The millionaire program helped and inspired him so much, because he really wanted to participate in the bash at the end of the school year -- [and enjoy] the limousine ride!"

Breyden looks like a million bucks in his dapper ensemble. He even had time to sign a few autographs for his adoring fans at the party. (Aww!)

Breyden and his classmates look like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves, which just goes to show education and fun can go hand in hand and make such a lasting impact.

"[Breyden was] very proud of his accomplishments, because he was basically just reading sight words at the beginning of the school year." Suragh reveals to CafeMom. "I'm so proud as a mom to see him blossom as much as he has in his reading abilities."

"This was an awesome idea to get the kindergartners to read more," his mom adds. "I hope stories like these inspire more wonderful teachers to come up exciting programs to get kids of all ages to want to read."
