Get Active & Have Fun With a Printable Summer Bucket List

My family loves the outdoors, especially in the summer. There are so many things to do and places to explore. It’s easy for my kids to get sucked into spending hours playing video games or watching TV. That’s why I like to plan at least one activity per day that gets us all moving together.

I love it when my kids end up begging to stay outside playing - even after the sun goes down. It is important to encourage our children's healthy habits like active play.

Sneak in Active Time at Home and on Vacation.

We visit a lot of local attractions like parks and recreational areas. You may be surprised at how many fun activities there are to do right in your own backyard. Check your city’s website for local events and fun things to do with your family.

If you are going on a vacation, try to sneak in at least one family adventure activity. When I say “adventure,” I don’t mean everyone has to go Skydiving. Your family’s adventure can be something as tame as hiking a trail. Or, for a more get-your-heart-racing adventure activity, you can go whitewater rafting. The level of adventure is up to you and your family's ability level.

Stay Active Spending Quality Time Together.

See how many kid-friendly summer activities you can check off of this printable Summer Bucket List! You'll find summer bucket list ideas for every level of Family Adventure. Don't forget to add your own ideas to the list. I left a couple spaces open for you to fill in the blanks!

Take the CLIF Kid Challenge.

CLIF Kid is challenging families to get outside and play every day. Join my family as we take the challenge this summer! CLIF Kid makes nutritious snacks to fuel hours of active play. Their snacks have no high fructose corn syrup, synthetic preservatives or artificial flavors.

We keep kid-friendly, healthy snacks like CLIF Kid Zbars and Zfruit ropes in an easy-to-reach pantry drawer.

My kids could not live without CLIF Kid Zbars. They have been one of our favorite healthy snacks for kids ever since we discovered them a few years ago. We even have a special Zbar drawer in the pantry. It's down low so the kids can reach in and grab a snack whenever they want.

Zbars are made with a nutritious blend of complex carbohydrates, three grams of fiber, and three grams of protein to maintain kids' energy. We are also fans of ZBar Protein, which contains 5 grams of protein. For organic fruit snack options, we like the Zfruit, and Zfruit + Veggie twisted ropes. These chewy fruit snacks taste great and give kids a Vitamin C boost.

How will your family get active this summer? Will you take the CLIF Kid Challenge? Let me know your favorite ways to have outdoor fun with your kids.
