It's game day! And I don't mean the NFL. Yesterday's post about money and holiday depression got me thinking. So many of us are struggling, just trying to hold it all together. Shoot, the holidays are supposed to be a time of joy!
So today, let's break out the games--no, not Wii. Checkers, Scrabble, Battleship, Connect Four, Monopoly. Sergeants, gather your troops! Tell them in no uncertain terms that today will be a day of old-school-styled family togetherness, happiness and side-splittin' laughter. Make it clear for all whimpy, whiney, sore losers that you're taking no prisoners and kicking some board game butt!

Our family has a running Skip-Bo game going. It's a great way to have family time without the television! We've been keeping track of the winners and so far my husband has won the most games.
Thanks for the reminder about Sunday game night! We used to do a regular family game night on Sunday nights and then we got out of the habit. We played board games, the old standby games like Monopoly!
