Sarah Jessica Parker: Schools and the City

It's always pretty cool when powerful people (read: wealthy and famous) care about something they clearly don't have to. Such is the case with Sarah Jessica Parker and Caroline Kennedy's support of the Fund for Public Schools, an organization that's raised over $230 million dollars for public schools since 2002.


They recently kicked off  the "Shop for Public Schools" campaign inviting retailers and shoppers (that's us) to come together in the name of supporting kids and families who depend on an often underfunded public school system. ("Johnny dear, it seems you'll have to share that book.") No matter where you live or what kind of school your kids attend, you'll probably agree that this is a great model for supporting the rights of all children to a decent education.
