Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been engaged for over two years now, and while it doesn't sound like they've set a wedding date yet, they do claim to have "wedding planners" ... That's right, plural, and they're all under the age of 13! Angie spoke about the future "I do"s to People for the magazine's cover story this week and shared that while she and Brad are "not really in a rush" to marry and "haven't made any definite plans," they "occasionally" talk about the big day with the kids.
The Maleficent star shares, "We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be. Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. ... It's going to be Disney or paintball – one or the other!" Ha, too funny!
But the idea that the whole Jolie-Pitt brood should be in on the wedding planning action makes perfect sense!
Once kids are a part of the picture, you can't help but make them an integral part of the wedding by letting them weigh in on what they'd like to see the day be like, finding a special way to honor them, or incorporating their tastes into the mix. After all, for a mom walking down the aisle, a wedding becomes even more of a family affair, and less about a bride and a groom alone.
As Angelina put it to People, her relationship with Brad has been forever transformed since they became parents. "You're not lovers or boyfriend and girlfriend as much as you are a family," she says. Clearly, and understandably, that will be reflected in how the longtime lovebirds celebrate their big day. Can't wait to see how it plays out!
How do you think a couple's wedding plans should change once they have kids?
