Forget Those Facebook Updates, This Is What Mother's Day Really Looks Like (PHOTOS)

watching tvAh, Mother's Day.  Gourmet breakfasts in bed, a gorgeous blooming bouquet of spring's finest blossoms, diamonds, pedicures, manicures, back rubs. A long shower!

Schreeeech!

If that's what Mother's Day looks like for you, you're ... probably not a mom!

For most of us, the fantasy of "time to ourselves" quickly evaporates and reality sets in. Someone still has to scrub the toilet, after all.

According to the moms we checked with, here's what Mother's Day really looks (except on Facebook, of course, where it looks picture-perfect).

What does your Mother's Day look like?

Yeah, my Mother's day is not going as I had planned. My husband fell off a ladder this week and had to have surgery on his wrist And we are expecting our second baby any day now and of course the crib, the car seat, the room, all those projects were supposed to happen but we spent time either in the hospital or I was taking care of him and my daughter so my mothers day is being spent doing projects around the house while my husband recovers. Not what I had planned on but this baby is coming soon and if I don't do it, it won't get done.

I spent my mothers day in the ER with my 5 month old who was spiking fevers of 103.6. This was after spending all day friday in the ER with my son who had got a cut on his cornea of his eye. I am so done with hospitals. A mother's work is never done!!feeding baby
