Inspired by a love of camping and the outdoors, this rustic shared room for siblings is the stuff that happy childhoods are made of. From the wool blankets on the beds to the steamer-trunk-turned-side-table, this room looks like it jumped straight off the pages of an L.L. Bean catalog!
See more photos below.
I love that the beds aren't completely matching and look truly lived in. The different patterns and fabrics on the bedding add to that sense of homeyness.
How awesome is that log bench? With seats carved out and cool legs added, it's so woodsy and one-of-a-kind!
Choosing to get heavy-handed with a non-typical color of paint can be kind of a risk, but I think this particular shade of green really adds to the woodsy and welcoming feel of this space. The natural light from those big windows and that amazing vintage rug (eBay find!) aren't hurting either.
There you have it, children live here. It's only a matter of time before those beds get jumped on too, we all know it! A room can only stay picture-perfect for so long before real life sets in, especially a room for two.
Taking something your child is passionate about and letting that come into play in their room design is fantastic, especially when it's pulled off with style! See more of this camping-inspired child's bedroom from The Animal Print Shop.
Have you incorporated any of your child's hobbies or interests in their room design? I'd love to hear about it!
