You know you want to go to Hogwarts. The Forbidden Forest, a Whomping Willow, and a bunch of amateur witches and wizards practicing spells aren’t enough to keep us from wishing we could go practice magic with Harry Potter.
Of course, Hogwarts isn’t real ... or is it? Viral prank group Improv Everywhere has started a new series called Movies in Real Life. In their latest installment, they dressed up an 11-year-old actor as the Boy Who Lived, and sent him to New York City’s Pennsylvania Station to search for the Hogwarts Express.
The props are amazing: a large trunk emblazoned with “HP” and an owl. Seriously you guys -- they included Hedwig.
My favorite thing about this video is watching the reactions of the people around him. Harry Potter has become such a cultural icon of our generation that very few people wouldn’t recognize him.
Also there’s a super cute bit where he tries to bump his cart into the pillar between platforms 9 and 10. Spoiler alert: It doesn’t work.
Would you flip out if you saw this in real life?
