Photographer Calls Suri Cruise the B-Word & We Don't Mean Brat (VIDEO)

Say What!? 68

Katie Holmes Suri CruiseI have always felt bad for celebrity kids like Suri Cruise, but some people will say that the benefits of being the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise outweigh living in the public eye. If you're one of those folks, you might want to take a look at this video of Suri, Katie, and a bunch of paparazzi. The 7-year-old looks understandably upset that there are a bunch of photographers hounding her, and she's not shy about telling them to get out of the way. And that's when things take a turn for the crazy.

An angry paparazzo uses the b-word about Suri, and I don't mean brat (although he calls her that too). Yes, a grown man called a 7-year-old girl a b--ch.

You can go ahead and watch, but obviously be prepared for foul language:

Ouch!

I'm glad the incident at least stopped some of the other men short (although hounding celebrity kids hardly makes them saints), but the fact that someone was this rude to a little girl is still disturbing.

More from The Stir: Parents of Suri Cruise's 'Body Double' Must Be Nuts

Suri is a kid. I don't care that she's a famous kid. I don't care that she wasn't cooperating with the photographers (technically she has no reason to ... she's just trying to go about her day). You don't use that kind of language about kids to kids.

Ever.

Whether you're mad at them because you're having a bad day (and taking it out at them) or mad at them because of something they actually did wrong, it behooves you to act like the adult and remember that they are just kids.

Sometimes that's easier said than done. My daughter is just a year older than Suri, and sometimes her behavior is maddening. If a 20-something did some of the things she's done, I might call her a b-word (I said might!).

But she's not a 20-something. She's 8. She's not a b-word. She's a kid. It's hard enough being a kid without adults putting adult problems and adult words on your shoulders.

They'll face the awful words we adults use for one another all too soon. Is it too much to ask that we give them a few more years without cursing at them?

Did this man cross the line? Was Suri being a b-word or just a kid?

From what I got they called Katie a bitch for not posing for pics and signing autographs. But it was rude of Sufi for act like that. Famous or not learn some manners.

Yeah, I thought Suri was acting like a little brat. She needs to be taught manners.

See, I seriously think Suri's reactions are understandable in context. Context being that hounded by paparazzi at 8 is a)not normal at all and b)really bad for her mental health. You hear her repeatedly cry out, "stop it!" thats a cry for help, to be protected and left alone.

Instead of thinking her a brat without manners I think her mother needs to move her somewhere the paparazzi respects the children of celebrities a lot more by backing the eff off. Or at least hire security to keep an area of distance between her daughter and the paparazzi.

Heather, I agree that Suri's actions are understandable, but I am curious where you think the paps are more respectful of children? New York is the calmest city for celebrities of the cities that cater to this line of work. No where else can Susan Sarandon walk down the street without being mobbed, and only in New York will can the likes of Jay-Z ride the subway without being swamped.  I would like to think that Katie and Suri could move to Wisconsin and live comfortably without so much attention, but I'm not sure that would happen. The paparazzi are all over that little girl, not her mother. Pictures are being sold of the child, not the parent. I think the paps would follow them anywhere.

People are rude, crude, mean and sick. This precious child needs to be left alone. She is obviously overwhelmed to have this constant in your face intrusion. People are unkind and act like moronic baboons. Leave her alone.

Paparazzi are rats.

If someone called my 7 year old a bitch, i'd show them a bitch.

I don't care if you don't agree with my child's behavior, you call my kid a b---h, I'll show you what a b---h is. Besides, you're asking a 7 year old for manners when everywhere she goes, for her entire life, with a camera shoved in her face. She's gonna act pretty bratty. That doesn't give a grown man the reason to call her mean names.

Ok, so I curse like a sailor- that being said my kids are very use to it, however I do not use curse words in a derogatory way towards my children and when Im around other peoples children I try to hold my tounge in using those words around their children as they are not mykids and have not beenraised around it nor are the familiar to hearing it, so I dont know if they understand what the words mean or why children do not say them. Nowthat being said if someone called a child in my vicinity , let alone my child that someone would have a Loud Yelling Mother And Repremandment from me and probably a few Curse Words as well if they continued with that type of behavior.

Chocodoxies, One place that The Paps dont really bother people is right in my neck of the woods good old Oregon. Robin Williams spent time in newberg even going to public pools and wasnt hounded for so much as a Hi. I was an extra in a movie with thora birch and no one hounded her, then there are all the people currently filming Grimm, other movies filmed here the hunting, and twilight, and recently a brenden frasier one and I never heard or saw a thing about paps hounding them. it all comes out of NY or LA... even angelina joli and Brad pit are able to live semi normal lives in NOLA. So yes there are lots of places that a star can take their child to live a semi normal life and not be hounded by fans and photogs they just choose not to.
