kids shaved headsTen-year-old Travis Selinka from Carlsbad, California, is one inspiring little dude. He's battling brain cancer and underwent radiation for seven weeks. He lost all his hair and was anxious about returning to school bald. He never wanted to take off his baseball hat.

His friends rallied around him and decided to band together, head to the local barber shop and shave their heads in solidarity giving us 15 more inspiring little dudes who remind us the true meaning of life.

The group of 10- and 11-year-old El Camino Creek classmates of Travis didn't want their buddy to feel different. They wanted to support him because they realize he's been through a lot -- one of the kids even through they thought doing it was "cool" and "very nice." He's so right, and we can add awesome and inspiring to the list of words to describe what they did.

Travis' mom said, "Fifteen boys went in (to that barber shop) and 15 men walked out."

What a cool bunch of kids. We need stories like this. Real life stories of brave kids who are supported by friends, not bullied by them. Travis has even stopped wearing his hat -- his friends made it easy for him. He's not anxious anymore at school because he's not feeling alone -- and that's exactly what he needs to stay strong so he can continue his fight with cancer.

Don't you just love inspiring stories like this? In what amazing ways have seen kids supporting other kids?
