Aww! How sweet is this photo of Jennie Garth and her three daughters, Luca, Lola, and Fiona, which was taken at a school graduation this week? OMG. They're such a beautiful group of girls, aren't they?
She's always been someone many of us have admired and looked up to, but seeing Jennie embark on her journey as a single mom only makes us adore her even more.
Yep -- her divorce from Peter Facinelli has been finalized, so the next chapter of her life is official.
No matter what your situation is, going through a divorce and transitioning from being a married mom to a single mom is never easy, but Jennie really seems to have found her stride. It's obvious that her daughters are happy and appear to have adjusted just fine.
And as hard as Jennie admits her split from Peter Facinelli was, it really sounds like she's put her kids' feelings ahead of her own to make sure things are as easy and amicable as possible.
Would you believe that the two of them share custody and financial responsibility for their kids equally? Neither one of them pays any sort of spousal support (which I'm guessing isn't as much of a necessity when you're a celebrity), and it sounds like they have no problems sharing parenting duties without any conflict.
Considering there were rumors of infidelity in the marriage on Peter's part (which may or may not be true), it would've been easy for Jennie to let feelings of sadness and resentment overcome her, but it's highly apparent that her children's well being and happiness is her number one priority.
She's such a great role model to other single moms not only for moving on with her life and embracing this new phase -- but also for being living proof that divorce doesn't have to be a nasty, horrible process that sucks the life out of you and your children. And she also gives so much hope to all the women out there who are considering ending their marriage, but are afraid to take the plunge. Sometimes seeing that someone else has found a light at the end of the tunnel is exactly what you need to find the courage to overcome your own struggle -- and come out of it a stronger person.
Do you think Jennie is an inspiration to single moms?
