Top 10 Most Dangerous Toys for Kids

pogo stickAs parents, our number one priority is to keep our kids safe. So, in addition to providing our children with love, food, and shelter, that means we have to be mean sometimes. Sorry, kids! We don't care that Susan from across the street has a trampoline -- you're not getting one!

Some toys will seem like the coolest, most fun, creative thing in the world to your child, but in actuality, they could be really dangerous. We're here to take the guesswork out of things for you when you're at the toy store, because hey, you're a busy parent. Here are the top 10 most dangerous toys.

you could just lock your kid in a padded room too...

Im glad they didnt mention the camping hammocks, the nets with both ends tied to a tree, then your siblings whirl you around as fast as they can.

I agree with like 2 of these, but the rest come on! Nobody ever died from a skinned knee or a couple bumps and bruses. I'd be willing to bet that furniture (coffee tables and entertainment centers anyone?) Causes more serious injurys to kids than all of these things combined. Let your kid be a kid, get them the freakin scooter.

EVERY toy comes with a risk. With all the stuff listed above I see nothign wrong besides maybe the pogo just because I got hurt a lot trying to do that as a child LOL. Let kids be kids. I don't undersatnd why my generation is trying to stop stuff that THEY did as children.

Somehow I survived all if those! Kind of amazing! Life comes with risk, and it's up to parents to watch their children so they don't do stupid things and get hurt

Pogo sticks and the darts maybe but the rest? Na, just regular risk. I would get a trampoline (with the net around) or a scooter or even an inflatable habitat (kids who couldn't swim would have floaties). Can't protect kids from everything though, they need to play and discover some things.

Some of these garnered an eye-roll, but a pogo stick that bounces 6 feet high is madness. No good can come of that, even with helmets and knee/elbow pads.

Have you ever seen a toy sword? They are foam or sponge and about 2 inches thick with a rounded tip..........false on poking eyes out........

we own 5 out of 10 lol. so my kids have only a 50% chance of danger :P. and yes, some of those are magnets, and balls and play swords
