This story is enough to make a mother's heart shatter into a million little pieces. According to Mexico City police, a 9-year-old girl has given birth to a baby girl of her own. It's just too awful to wrap your head around.
The child was "just over 8 when she got pregnant," her mother told officials. "The father is a boy who is 17, but we have not found him, since he ran away." She was released from the hospital and is reportedly doing well ... physically. But her emotional state is an entirely different matter.
“We are looking for the young man to get his story because she does not understand what has happened. This is a rape or child sex abuse case,” said Jorge Villasenor with the state prosecutors' office. It's encouraging that they are seeking justice for this young victim; however, she has a long, confusing recovery ahead of her.

It’s hard to accept, to be honest. Not that this is an entirely unheard of, albeit sickening, phenomenon. My mother, a therapist, worked with "at-risk" kids when I was growing up. I remember hearing about a girl who had a baby at 12 years old. I couldn't even fully understand what was happening to her since I barely understood what sex entailed until I was a teen. I was a late bloomer, I suppose. But in this day and age, those may not exist anymore.
To have a baby by just 9 is unfathomable. But it's just not the act of sex that is so damn troubling. It's that this girl, who is essentially a baby herself, has to go through childbirth. Every single adult mother will tell you that labor is one of the scariest things she has ever endured -- and that is at an age when you truly understand what is happening and it's by choice. My heart goes out to this child who has to grow up entirely too fast.

So sad poor girl hope they find that guy who did this to her....but where was mom when it happen?????????
MzSanchez81 I wouldn't blame the mom. It's likely the girl was the victim of a rape, which, while always disturbting, can happen without the automatic assumption of parental neglect. Also, abortions aren't legal in Mexico I believe.
That poor thing. My heart goes out to the family and I hope they catch the person who did this to her.
Considering this was a case of child rape, the mom may not have been aware of the situation. This may have been on ongoing assault, or it could have only happened once. I wouldn't point fingers at the girl's mother without knowing more details. A very sad story indeed.
That poor girl.... I hope she recoverys mentally.....
My question where were the parents? How do they know excatly who did it? if they do why didnt the parent blow his head off?
It is annoying that everyone blames the parents. Who here hass allowed their children to stay the night at anotheers house? It can happen that fast... Any time a parent is not present it could happen and still there are fathers impregnating their daughters! It is sad Parentss are responsible for a lot but unless you have a child you homeschool and watch 24/7 terrible things can happen it is a ssick sad world...there is another story form the early 1800s (if memory servesss) about a girl that had a child at the age of 5. Sick and sad I am not here to deebate but merely sstate a point unlesss your child is under 24/7 watch things can happen and I hope the mother wass watching her childcorrectly but you cannot asssume based off the of outcome.
i feel bad for this little girl. and i hope they catch the kid that did this. i am not going to blame the parents for what happened to her. it was probably out of their control.for all we know she could have been walking home from school when it happened. or anything of the sort that was just like a normal day to her and her parents.
