2013: The Year of the Teenager and More! (PHOTO)

Exciting things happening in our house in 2013!

This year has already kept me way too busy! It may seem impossible to be somewhat overwhelmed so early on, but I admit it, I am. Fortunately, I like it that way. My saying is "to be busy is always better than to be bored." And I'm anything but bored so far in 2013!

As a general rule, I don't bother with New Year's resolutions. Who has the time? And to me, they feel like yet another thing on my never-ending "to-do list." Who needs that??? I do always face each new year with a fresh smile and renewed determination though ...

All too quickly that feeling is eclipsed by the sudden onset of dread ...

Since my birthday falls early in the year, my first thought is ALWAYS, "Oh no, this year I turn [insert my new age], am I still considered young?" Panic will definitely ensue this year when I turn 38 in March. That's just way too close to the big 4-0!

I'm crossing my fingers that my kids will continue to keep me young. That's what they say about kids anyway. But somehow I feel like mine are making me old! The speed at which I must move to keep our world turning makes me feel like I'm 80 years old by the end of the day! Having eight kids is sort of like having an eight-car freight train speeding past me daily. I gotta keep up and most days -- it's all I can do!

So this year I turn 38. Okay, gotta accept it, right? What else can I do? Once I accept it, I can move on and refocus on the new year with thoughts of everything that I hope to make happen this year in all categories of life -- home, family, work, and fun!

This year is going to be full of adventures for me and my eight. For starters, I'm blogging here at The Stir every week! I was asked to join the many talented writers here and I feel honored that my stressful, funny, crazy, and sometimes unbelievable life experiences as a single mom of eight will be documented right here!

Beyond this blogging opportunity, I have some other exciting projects in the works that I can't quite discuss as of yet. I am not teasing you on purpose, I'll divulge just as soon as I can!

And putting my career work aside, the new year has been whipping my butt on the home front: following a busy Christmas, a week-long family trip, and then a three-week-long home maintenance marathon led by a close family friend who is a jack of all trades and master of ALL (in which I wielded a hammer and other such tools -- learning details of plumbing, building, and repairing from a master), I am still trying to get organized and settled into 2013!

Oh, and did I forget to mention that 2013 has been officially titled "The Year of the Teenager(s)" for me! Yes, I have two girls turning 13 this year. Help! This is going to be one heck of a ride ...

More details to come on all of the above topics ... For today, I just wanted to say hello and that I'm really happy to be here!

Has 2013 overwhelmed you already too?

The only thing different that Kate does from families for centuries is to put herself FIRST!  She has 8 young children and have you ever seen a pic of one in a Brownie uniform or participating in a team sport, dance class, 4-H project?   What about those family chickens?  They would make a great 4-H project.   We see Kate all dressed to the nines, pumping gas in one of her four vehicles, rushing through airports with a bodyguard (?)  I guess someone has to carry all her cash in her handbag.  We have seen Kate through tantrums, scream at the kids and you can find videos of her grabbing one of the 3-year olds by the arm that could have torn the arm out of its socket.   You can see the video of Mady asking for a drink of water and Kate telling her to wait and then taking a drink from a fresh bottle offered to her.   Who wants to see any of this?  I believe she conned a X-mas trip to Paris with the kids that she had filmed and that she is hoping that this will be the trip that brings her back to the tv.  Why is it that none of the female talk shows consider her talk material except to gossip about her?  None of the shows will promote her or her bad behavior.

Kate keep up those good educations for the girls.   I will be first on line to read Mady's tell all.  It won't be long, perhaps six more years and the truth will be out.  The kids will need a way to earn a living after Kate has used all their money on herself.

Welcome Kate. I always enjoyed watching you and your beautiful family. Looking forward to reading more about what you are up to these days.

I think people in general are sick of bullys, haters and those who aren't smart enough to not post libelous comments.
I would ban the negative libelous commenters. They have nothing worthwhile to add.

Welcome Kate, write what you will and have fun. If the haters follow we'll just have to kill them with kindness.

I'll stick to my favorite and only Blog, thanks- RealityTVkids.com (15 Minutes, Gosselin Style). The Admin. and family created there do not support child abusers... or Kate's lies. Keep it real, Cafe Moms. You know damned-well who (and what) you are dealing with, and I now question your moral compass at this site. ROBERT HOFFMAN would have certainly been a better choice. He's also a better writer!

Heed the advice above regarding CJ. If you are posting here using your real name or identity, do not continue to do so. She will stalk you, investigate you, find your children and reveal private information. Just google her name. She runs a blog all about taking and saving thousands of screen shots. If you disagree with her, she will stalk you and find your employer. She is currently under investigation and being sued for her behavior. The local authorities have come knocking on her door. Stay safe and protect yourself.

Who's gonna sue for libel JoJos? Libel?! Fact is, Kate's own writings and horrific accounts of infant beatings are what exposed her. She can sue for libel all she wants. Kate was the one shrieking with glee, when that poor expectant mother of multiples miscarried. She wrote in her diary how relieved she was there was a dead baby. Thus Kate had no competition to worry about. Sick, insane. This is Kate Gosselin. A cold-hearted, compulsive liar. Disgusting, sue me.

I'd also respectfully like to add my opinion (speaking of fetuses). If Kate wants to Blog about "Year of the Teen", she should mention the nearly 20 year old child she would have..... had she not aborted the fetus at 17+. Kate tell us about yours, and I'll tell you about mine. Infertility? My arse.

The title of this blog is deceiving. The headline states "The Year of The Teenagers and More", but there is only one little blurb about teenagers, and the rest is all about Kate and how young she still hopes to feel because she is turning 38. The title should read: "The Year All About ME".... Much more appropriate.
