With any divorce, the biggest question -- next to how much will she get -- is who gets custody of the kids.
Luckily, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise seemed to have resolved that burning question rather quickly. Mom will reportedly get primary custody, while dad gets visitation rights. Well, according to Star, the issue might not be so cut and dried for Suri. If the tabloid is to be believed, the 6-year-old has a preference for where she lives -- and it's not with her mom!
That is certainly devastating for any mom to hear -- regardless of fame. The article goes on to claim that even when Katie was whisking Suri away from Tom -- and presumably the clutches of Scientology -- the little girl protested. A source said that when father and daughter were finally reunited in New York City last week, Suri sobbed, "I want to live with daddy!"
Star also reported that Tom won the tot over during his visit by lavishing her with a getaway and gifts totaling more than $170,000. Suri had so much fun, she didn't want to return to Katie. Sadly, that is a very familiar tactic in divorces, isn't it? What child wouldn't want to bunk with the more fun parent, especially one that could buy you anything and everything your heart desires. Of course Suri is too young to know what is best for her. Fortunately for Katie, that custody agreement is already in place and Suri is back home with her mom.
Do you think Suri should have a say in where she lives?

No a little kid should not have a say in where the live. It's like you said. they want the fun parent, but the fun parent isn't necessarily who is best.
Kids do that either way. When my kids are home, and grounded/in time out, they cry for daddy
When they were at their dads for 7 days *one week in the summer* it was too much for them! They cried to come home on the 3rd night. They see their dad twice a week, and have every other weekend with him. Its not like he's a stranger. Plus, he's a great dad!
It happens. Its what kids do.
We're talking about an article in the Star. Not exactly a credible source.
Ugh, The Star?
No. Absolutely not. I also agree, The Star?? That's your source??? Come on!
The minute Mr. Cruise has to discipline her for something, she will cry for Mommy. Even if he says "no" to something she wants. It's what kids do, even if the parents are married and together.
yeah, my son loves his dad and would WAAAAYYY rather live with him. And I don't blame him! I mean, ice cream for diner, no set bedtime, free reign on the television and I phone, shoot yeah, kids heaven! But not the best for them :P
Us mean mommies with our horrible bedtimes, must-eat-your-diner before ice cream rules, limits on tv, yup, we stink. I wanna live at daddies too!
tom cruise is a douche bag. I'm sure he just opens that wallet and gives Suri whatever the hell she wants. Of COURSE she wants daddy. Doensn't make dear daddy a fit parent to raise her.
yes tom is spoiling suri rotten. this doesnt make him a bad parent just a naive one. he thinks that by giving his daughter everything she wants this makes him the better parent- it doesnt. that little girl will grow up to believe that if her daddy loves her then he will do/give her EVERYTHING she wants. while she will learn that her mother loves her just because. she will learn that love doesnt =money and that sometimes we have to do things that just rnt fun. the bottom line is that children needs limits and bounderies and it is up to the parents to set these. the best thing for suri would b for her parents to sit down and make some guidelines for what suri can and cant have and things that they agree on for limits and bounderies... just saying is all
