The "you hate me" ones just make me sad. I have a seven year old and can't imagine him writing or saying that. I thought the one about "why can't I have pizza" was cute though.

Lol, This is so my sister! She used to pack her suitcase and sit at the end of the driveway, because she couldn't cross the street without a grown up! Haha

I am SOO glad to know I'm not the only mom who gets these letters! Mine usually read "I don't belong here, no one loves me". I feel bad for a few minutes though-should I??

Too funny! I remember way back when we were taking apart our kids bunk beds, my son wrote "my mom is fat" on the bottom of the top bunk. Who knows when he wrote that but I'm sure he wrote it because he had gotten in trouble. I thought it was hilarious when I read it!

I couldn't help but chuckle at teh coco name calling.. I use to get mad, so red in the face, and ofcourse at 5 I couldnt say anything really bad, so I would call my uncle you..you.. APPLE APPLE APPLE!!!! hahahah i even have an apple doll my aunt made because of it. Thanks for the share!

I hope you keep these so she can look at them when ahe is a mom; I kept a great deal of the "I'm mad at you" & "I love you" things from over the years and now my oldest is 20 she looks back at them and crys at some and laughs at others and I tell her which ones made me cry. But being a mom who was also in the US Navy and gone a lot made for a lot of little notes over the years & I always cherished them no matter if they were positive or negative. To the "the3rs" I hope you at least permit your children the time I gave up with my children to defend to express themselves to express themselves!!!!!!!

I had to take a step back and think about this one: while mine is not 7 or approaching her teen years anytime soon, I cannot yet relate. However, I don't know if I would pass these off as "cute" and "drama queen-ish". If my daughter told me she hated me, I would probably sit her down as ask her why. What makes her feel that way? I want her to learn at a young age that HATE IS A STRONG WORD. I do hope the mother that wrote this post talks about this with her daughter, and doesn't pass this off as "oh, look at my drama queen of a 7-year old". SHUDDER.

I don't find these funny or cute. I think it's very sad that a child do young has so much hate and anger. She must feel horrible that her feelings and emotions are not taken seriously. The mom of this child is wrong in posting this and making a mockery. Instead of spending the time on the Internet she should be spending time with her daughter making her feel lived and wanted.
