Dad Makes 6-Year-Old Daughter's Birthday Wish Come True (VIDEO)

cutest homecoming I don't think I've ever seen video footage of a military mom or dad's surprise homecoming that wasn't completely adorable and totally heartwarming. But this little girl's reunion with her Army sergeant dad -- on her 6th birthday -- is quite possibly the sweetest moment ever caught on film. Even the hosts of the Today Show were visibly moved. Matt Lauer, people. Matt Lauer was moved.

Something about the way Bailey Page of Utah and her dad Adam are looking at each other, maybe.

Or the way Bailey says in her cute little voice, "That's my only birthday present I wanted, is you. I really missed you."

"How did you ever make it?"

You can literally see the poor man melt.

I can't even think about it without getting choked up all over again. No exaggeration.

Apparently Adam expects to be re-deployed to Afghanistan in the near future. I'm praying he makes it back home again, safely, so that someday he can dance with Bailey at her wedding ... as this video plays in the background.

Awww! I was tearing up just reading about it! The way she kisses his head at the end is so sweet!

I could never see enough of these! This little girl reminds me of my 3 daughters when their daddy surprised them after a tour in Afghanistan! LOVE IT! THANK YOU for posting!

Gah... I couldn't hold back the tears... >.> I'm not a military wife or anything, but I can only imagine how much these kids miss their parents that are deployed. Such a wonderful story.

Yeah....I cried.

There was also the video where a serviceman came home to see his son walk for the first time; his son was diagnosed with (I think) muscular dystrophy (I am pretty sure I am wrong on the diagnosis) and was told he'd never walk. But he walked into his dad's arms when he came home from Afghanistan. I cried at that too.

I was having a bad day! When I saw that, I know life is great for dad and his daughter.. It made me happy all day! I have watched it 10 times. I have 2 sons in the Military and I know how it is for them when they leave their family and come home.. Happy Birthday!
