Cortney & Robert NovogratzCelebrity designers Cortney and Robert Novogratz of HGTV’s Home by Novogratz took part in some designing from the heart recently when they headed up a $50,000 classroom makeover at Winegard Elementary School in Orlando, Florida.
You'll love the colorful, creative, and inspiring space that Cortney and Bob designed for the kids and teachers at Winegard Elementary. Such a great gift of hope when times are so tough in our country's public schools.
Keep reading to check out the Before & After photos of the project.
The classroom at Winegard Elementary that received the makeover is dedicated to art and music. The school hasn't had any upgrades since the 1970s, so the Novogratzes aimed to not only update the outdated classroom but also to create a well-designed, organized, and inspirational space for the K-5 public school. Dr. Jhunu Mohapatra, principal at Winegard Elementary, said:
Our teachers do the best with what they have in our current classrooms, but with this makeover, our kids will be inspired to become even more hands-on in their new and improved work spaces.
Designer Bob Novogratz talked about the many muses behind the redesign -- his and Cortney's own seven kids!
Consulting with our 'experts,' a.k.a. our seven children, we know the needs schools face and our hope is to help take the load off of these teachers so they can focus on what’s most important, our kids’ education.
Let's take a look.
