How dare she ... really! Who does Stephanie Seymour think she is? After the scandalous over-hyped photos a couple of months ago of her son fondling her breast, appearing to kiss him on the lips, and hugging -- that's right, I said it, hugging -- how dare she pretend she is a normal mom, vacationing again, this time in St. Barth, France, with her family. After all, shouldn't a former Sports Illustrated cover model, married to billionaire Peter Brant, have someone else to fold her towels, build sand castles with her kids, and feed them lunch?
Well, let's be realistic here ... I am pretty certain she's got someone folding her towels and doing the family laundry (and likely someone making lunch too) but based on the images of her with her family, you just CAN NOT take her to task for not being an active mom. Her affection for her family, especially her children, is obvious.
At the end of the day she's a mom, not a super model, to an adorable 6-year-old girl and two teenage boys, ages 13 and 17. These kids depend on her and it is her job to make them her first priority. The fact that she is able to vacation in St. Barth's, in a $28,000 a day palace, only makes her more likely a target for the paparazzi, and exposes interactions that "regular" moms wouldn't have to even think about with their own kids. (BTW, I don't think it's actually a palace, but that sounds way better than just a measly mansion! I mean come on, I would prefer a palace if I were shelling out $28,000 a day.)
The reality for Stephanie now, after the photos from her last family vacation, is that she has to check herself when she is out in public with her boys (because I am sure the hugs and kisses with her girl wouldn't have garnered such a reaction) and I think that's sad.
Do you think there is an age when moms need to be less affectionate with their teenage boys?
