Abbey Hendrickson of the blog Aesthetic Outburst takes part in our "On This Fall Day" series today.
Several bloggers are sharing a single fall day in photos + words here on The Stir over the next few weeks. Follow along to catch small and beautiful glimpses of what other families are doing around the country and beyond to celebrate the autumn season.
Today Abbey, who lives in upstate New York with her family, shares about the special fall day spent with her son and daughter at the local pumpkin farm:
Our favorite "autumnal" activity is definitely a visit to our local pumpkin farm. Every year they create a huge display, using pumpkins to create a variety of storybook characters. Many of the characters are wearing the same clothing they wore when I visited as a little girl (yes, I’m talking about you, Mr. Argyle Sweater)! Candy apples, warm cider, and a hay ride make for one of the best days of the year. Oh, and let’s not forget picking out pumpkins ... our day isn’t complete until we’ve found our "great pumpkin." I love fall in upstate New York!
That argyle sweater is a fun one for sure, Abbey. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
