Airline Gives Child a Disney Trip for Breaking His Wheelchair

Tutus for TannerTanner Bawn has already proven he can make grown women act like idiots to make him smile. Now he's got major airlines eating out of his little hands.

He's the eponymous Tanner of Tutus for Tanner, the event that sent hundreds of bloggers in tutus out into New York City's Central Park last week during BlogHer10.

Diagnosed with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy, essentially a death sentence, the little boy with the giant smile was there to watch people he'd never met raise money to help him live out his life at home with his single mom.

But then there was the flight. And the smashing of his wheelchair on the flight.

For 10-year-old Tanner, the wheelchair is his main mode of movement. He literally is dying at home.

It's heartbreaking enough.

And after all these stories of airlines taking kids' Play-doh and killing celebrities' dogs, we could always use a little happy news to get us flying the not-so-friendly skies again.

Enter Tanner.

Air Canada not only fixed the wheelchair they broke, but told the UPI that they're giving Tanner a trip to Disney.

On them.

With his cousins.

Score one for the little guy!

You can take a page out of the corporation's move and do a little something nice for this little guy too -- his aunt, Catherine Connors, has all the deets over at her hilarious blog Her Bad Mother.

And maybe Air Canada deserves a little business?
