Peanuts: Cartoons Even Today's Big Kids Will Love

Amy Jo Jones
I don't care how old you, I mean, your kids are -- everybody loves the old Peanuts cartoons and television specials.

Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and the World War II flying Ace -- all of your favorites appear in this soon-to-be-released Peanuts DVD collection.

I received a copy of this Peanuts 1970's collection from Warner Brothers for review, and I watched it with my whole family. The 1970's Volume 2 Collection contains the following six specials from the later half of the '70s on two discs: "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown"; You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown"; "It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown"; "It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown"; "What a Nightmare, Charlie Brown!"; and "You're the Greatest, Charlie Brown." Also included in this set is an all-new featurette: "You're Groovy, Charlie Brown: A Look at Peanuts in the '70s."

This DVD set is a gem because not only can parents enjoy the nostalgia of revisiting these old friends from their childhood, but the characters and the more adult themes of the Peanuts adventures make these episodes enjoyable for little kids and big kids alike.
