Extra Small Condoms for Preteen Boys Hit the Market

Finally, condoms specially sized for 12-year-old boys! Wait...huh?

Well, it seems a new extra-small condom called the Hotshot has been created for boys as young as 12 years old and are going on sale in Switzerland.

This new condom comes in response to government research on behalf of the Federal Commission for Children and Youth that showed more 12 to 14-year-olds were having sex, in comparison with the 1990s, and that this same group did not use sufficient protection when having sex.

As much as I think 12-year-olds are too young to be having sex, the fact is they are. So I'm all for a product that helps prevent unwanted pregnancies and the spread of STDs.

Just don't let the little "hot shots" know about the "extra small" factor. If they get wind of that customized feature, we'll be right back to square one.

Well... seeing as how some... men are extra small..I think that they could market this to NON-preteen boys, but still make it available if they... were going to use a condom.

Well, seeing as Switzerland has a lower STD and teenage pregnancy rate per capita than the U.S. . .I won't be one to judge.

Ask yourselves who will raise the babies of those 12 year olds if you give them the tools and permission to have sex. You have to keep the kids on short leashes in order to prevent them from making a mistake that they aren't prepared to deal with. I've seen so many teen moms who have sex and ask questions later, but in the end who gets stuck raising the baby in the end the parents. A little prevention goes a long ways.

i was having sex 12. i hope my daughter and son wait longer then me and their dad. their dad was also having sex at 12. i think its a good idea for these condoms because it might help bring down the teen pregnancy rates down

I know kids who were having sex at ten... no matter how much their parents tried to keep it from happening. DH and I both know of someone we went to school with who got pregnant at ten... and yes... it's possible. My cousins and I all got are reds at nine. If it helps bring down the pre/teen pregnancy rate I'm all for it. Not to mention STDs.
