You’ve waited all year for this, the season of sun and fun and parties and beach trips and poolside lounging. To make the most of it all, we’re sharing a few tips that will help you be ready for any opportunities the warm weather might bring.

  1. Keep a summer “go bag” in your car at all times. You never know when you’ll be offered a last-minute invitation to a pool party or beach trip. And if you always have some basics like sunscreen, a spare swimsuit, towel, and a change of clothes on hand, you can always say “Yes!” when the opportunity presents itself.
  2. Hang pretty lights in your yard or patio. Last-minute gatherings get an instant upgrade when you can up the décor factor with a simple flip of a switch (or insertion of a plug into an outlet).
  3. Stock your freezer with Edwards® Desserts. Whether you’re hosting a blow-out cookout or just having some friends over for an after-dinner treat, few things say summer more than a cool and creamy icebox pie. And Edwards Desserts are such an effortless option – just thaw and serve – you can (and should!) choose several to keep in your freezer at all times. Go tropical with  Edwards® Key Lime Pie, classic with  Edwards®Hershey’s Chocolate Crème Pie, or all out with a chocolate, caramel, and pecan-studded  Edwards®Turtle Pie.
  4. Replenish your liquor cabinet. Make sure you’re stocked up on ingredients – including plenty of fresh ice – to make summer cocktails at a moment’s notice. (We’re looking at you, sangria and rosé slushies.)
  5. Hang a “summer bucket list” by your front door. Don’t want to inadvertently leave out any essential experiences this year? Poll the family on what adventures they’re most looking forward to (watching fireworks, blueberry picking, eating pie for dinner, riding a roller coaster, building an epic sandcastle, catching fireflies, etc.) and put the list front and center in your house. Cross them off as you do them, with the goal of having every item on the list completed by Labor Day.
