Supreme Court Justice LEGO Set Gets Us Thinking …

legal justice league

One of the most awesome projects we've seen in honor of this year's International Women's Day: This set of custom-made LEGO created by Maia Weinstock representing the first four female Supreme Court justices of the United States! Made up of Sandra Day O'Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, together, they're the "Legal Justice League" -- and we WISH our daughters could play with them, but unfortunately (and outrageously), LEGO won't make them because the company won't produce any "sets depicting politics."

A total bummer, because, politics aside, these figures represent trail-blazing, passionate women who deserve to be memorialized in toy form, and who would no doubt inspire and inform the next generation of potential supreme court justices. But hey, this is just one of many fantasy, female-empowering LEGO sets we wish the company would make. Here, in no particular order, are some LEGO we would LOVE to see on toy store shelves.
