The date, year, time, and place her little one is born will hold special significance to a mom no matter what. But it's also the key to learning a lot about the new baby's personality! Ophira and Tali Edut, known as the AstroTwins, explore how a child's sun sign helps color his or her world in their new book Momstrology. It's the perfect "guide to parenting by the stars." Intrigued? Well, we did a little digging to find out what relationship the stars have with our little ones!

More from CafeMom:

Here is our dirty little secret: We love astrology. Sure, some would argue that it isn't real, but what do they know? It could be! And more important, it's sort of fun to think of all the ways the universe effects our personalities and lives. We check our horoscope every day (guilty) and now that we are pregnant, we kinda think it's important to check our future little one's sign too. It can't hurt, right? Right?

Which is why we found the advice of Ophira and Tali Edut to be so important. We can't always predict what star sign our LO's going to have, but on the off chance that our signs aren't *compatible* it could be helpful to know how to raise the little guy.

Here, a few highlights on each sign for any and every mom who has ever wondered what her baby will grow up to be like ...

  • Aries (March 21-April 19)

The first sign of the zodiac, fire sign Aries is symbolized by the ram and ruled by the "warrior planet" Mars. So it's no wonder little Aries are competitive, aggressive, ambitious, impatient, and eager for excitement. A "determined fireball ... this energetic kid is in perpetual motion," write the Twins. They'll likely grow up to be stars on a sports or debate team, and later potentially lawyers or superstars (think Reese Witherspoon or Sarah Jessica Parker -- both Aries!).

  • Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Earth sign Taurus is symbolized by the bull and is known for being determined, artistic, self-assured and reliable, but at the same time, stubborn, blunt, and self-destructive, note the Twins. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, little bulls tend to have "refined taste in food, clothes, and ambience from an early age." They'll likely enjoy any activity that requires "building," and possibly grow up to build ... their own company from the ground up as a CEO (think Taurus Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg!).

  • Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Air sign Gemini is symbolized by the twins and ruled by the "communicator" planet Mercury. So you'll likely notice your little one may have two personalities in one -- or as the Astro Twins put it, "a cast of characters rolled into one little person." "Mischief is Gemini's middle name!" This curious, busy, clever, charming, but also sometimes restless, distracted and gossipy kiddo loooves to express themselves, so activities like sign language classes, LEGOs, crafts, musical instruments, etc. are all appealing. They may grow up to be a writer or actor. (Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman are both Geminis!)

  • Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Water sign Cancer, symbolized by the crab, is ruled by the moon, which may be called the "man in the moon," but in astrology, it's all about the mother! Little Cancers are "one of the zodiac's most family-oriented signs," note the Twins, and they have an intense need to be nutured and to nuture. They are one of the most emotional signs, which can make them very creative, helpful, with a keen sense of intuition. They may love being part of a sports team (which give them a sense of family) or learning to cook. Famous Cancers include Malia Obama and Prince George.

  • Leo (July 23-August 22)

Fire sign Leo, symbolized by the lion, are ruled by the sun, and you can tell. These little wildcats love to be praised, adored, worshipped, really, just like the sun! They're known for being affectionate, proud, generous, protective, and entertaining, but also potentially self-centered, aggressive, and demanding. They're in love with love, and being showered in it, but they'll shower those they love right back! They also love the spotlight, so you likely have a little thespian -- or politician -- in the making. Famous Leos include Kylie Jenner and Demi Lovato.

  • Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Earth sign Virgo, ruled by communication planet Mercury, is symbolized by the virgin. "A natural giver who needs to be needed," conscientious, fastidious Virgos love to reach out and offer TLC. The Twins note that Virgos can be "quiet and obedient," and "their little minds are always working -- the Virgo brain does NOT have an off-switch!" Being outdoors will bring your little Virgo peace, so they may enjoy restful yoga and hiking when they grow up, as much as writing and reading. They could grow up to be a writer or work for a nonprofit. Famous Virgos include Beyonce and Blake Lively.

  • Libra (September 23-October 22)

Air sign Libra, symbolized by the scales, and ruled by romantic Venus, is known to be lovable, fair and generous, charming, and compassionate. But at their worst, little Libra can be scattered, indecisive, passive-aggressive. Your little one will love surrounding him or herself with all things beautiful -- from clothes to music and people -- and want to feel in balance. They love to please and make people happy. You may be raising a future diplomat! Famous Libras include Zac Efron, Hillary Duff, and Alicia Silverstone.

  • Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Water sign Scorpio, symbolized by the scorpion, and ruled by Pluto and Mars, can be magnetic, passionate, sharp, and intuitive. They may also be obsessive, secretive, possessive, and jealous. Eek! But there's no doubt their determination means there are big things in store for them. Whether it's a book, puzzle, or business deal some day down the road, if they put their minds to getting to the bottom of it, they will. They aim to (quietly) win and rise to the top! Famous Scorps include Leo DiCaprio, Kelly Osbourne, and Hillary Clinton.

  • Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

Fire sign Sagittarius, ruled by the planet of luck Jupiter, and symbolized by the archer centaur (half-man, half horse) is wise and insightful, funny, free-spirited, determined, and open-minded. They may also be too blunt/rude, honest to a fault, hyperactive, and a bit scattered. But their adventurous spirit will always warm your heart! They're equal parts "dreamer and doer," note the Twins. Your baby could grow up to be a stand-up comedian or travel the world speaking many different languages. Famous Sags include Pax Jolie-Pitt, Christina Aguilera, and Taylor Swift.

  • Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Earth sign Capricorn, symbolized by the goat and ruled by taskmaster Saturn, the planet of ambition and maturity, is said to be the little Benjamin Button of the zodiac. "Wise little Caps are old souls who lighten up later in life," note the Twins. They're "master planners" and "hard workers who want to pay dues and earn their keep." They'll most definitely end up getting to the top of their game, no matter what they decide to do hobby- or career-wise. Famous Caps include Kate Middleton, Blue Ivy Carter, and Liam Hemsworth.

  • Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

Though they may be symbolized by the water bearer, spontaneous Uranus-ruled Aquarius is actually an air sign. These free-spirited kids are funny, original, open-minded, quirky little inventors who prefer fact over fiction any day. They may be stubborn, anxious, and rebellious, though, and maybe come up with some off-the-cuff comments that catch you off-guard. Aquarians can quickly become friends with just about anyone, love being part of a group outing, and play with all things gadget-y or sci-fi. They'll become scientists, researchers, or doctors. Famous Aquarians: Justin Timberlake, Molly Ringwald, Emma Roberts.

  • Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Water sign Pisces, ruled by mystical planet Neptune, is symbolized by the fish. Your little water baby is compassionate, artistic, supportive, and has a flair for the dramatic. He or she may also be self-pitying at times and overemotional. Thankfully, this little daydreamer can cope with their feelings by tapping into their endless supply of creativity through music and dance or other forms of art. They find peace being near the water, taking photos, drawing, and helping others in need. They're destined to be artists. Famous Pisceans include Drew Barrymore, Dakota Fanning, Jessica Biel, and Justin Bieber.
