'Don't Bite the Dentist' & Other Wise Rules Kids Should Live By (VIDEO)

rule bookRaymond Flores works at a Walmart store in Citrus Heights, California. While scanning the parking lot for abandoned carts, he came across something much more interesting. It was a small, spiral-bound notebook that contained a list of more than 100 rules.

It was clearly written by a child, and the rules are great. Flores read from it to Fox 40: “Don’t get into other people’s business. Don’t call each other names. Clean up your messes. No eating other people’s food. One hundred eighteen is don’t keep saying please if someone says no. I like that."

It's a great list, albeit not 100 percent grammatically correct. Other rules include:

Try to make things far.

Wear your seatbelt

Resicle (sic)

Don't bite the dentist

Put your shoes by the front door when you take them off

And the heartbreaking number 154: Protect this book.

There's a lot of work in this book, and you know that whoever lost is probably beside himself or herself with worry. If she (or he?) took it to Walmart, it's probably something that she carries with her everywhere. The child's parents are probably devastated too as this is one of those childhood mementos you would want to hold onto forever.

The local news station is trying to get to the word out to reunite the owner with the book. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact FOX40′s Sonseeahray Tonsall at s.tonsall@fox40.com.

So share this if you will on Facebook or wherever you like. You never know who might know something, and this owner definitely deserves to be reunited with a book this great. Plus, I can't wait to see what kind of cool kid came up with these rules.

What would be on your child's list of rules?
