Can you die from a tattoo? A healthy 23-year-old woman in Milan, Italy, reportedly died after getting septic shock from a tattoo, according to her family. She had visited a parlor on Thursday, and by Friday she was feeling "shivery" and had "pins and needles" in her hands and feet. By Saturday morning, she had died.

Ryan Cabrera, who you may recall from the cinematic masterpiece that was MTV's The Ashlee Simpson Show, recently debuted a Ryan Gosling tattoo on his leg during a red carpet event. Cabrera, who obviously wanted to show off his ink, being that he opted for capri pants, said that the whole thing was just a joke, and he didn't want a Ryan Gosling tattoo he just got a Ryan Gosling tattoo. You know how it goes, guys.

If you've ever thought getting a temporary tattoo was just guilt-free fun, think again, because the FDA has issued a warning against the seemingly harmless practice. Dr. Linda Katz, director of the FDA's Office of Cosmetics and Colors, says, "Just because a tattoo is temporary it doesn’t mean that it is risk free," and notes that users can end up suffering severe reactions that outlast the tattoos themselves.

Specifically, the agency has received reports of problems associated with temporary tattoos such as redness, blisters, raised red weeping lesions, loss of pigmentation, increased sensitivity to sunlight, and, in rare cases, permanent scarring. Eeesh!

Mom to 11-month-old Luca got a new addition to her ink collection over the weekend -- in the form of an adorable, itty-bitty heart -- when she and a few gal pals stopped in to the Shamrock Tattoo Parlor in West Hollywood. Duff Instagrammed a photo of the heart, along with the caption: "All is full of love." Deep.

Miley Cyrus may be in the middle of breakup heartache and canceling wedding plans, but that didn't stop her from getting a bizarre heart tattoo this weekend. Symbolism, anyone?

The 20-year-old pop singer, who is rumored to have split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth, apparently found time to visit the infamous tattoo artist Kat Von D Friday afternoon. She now sports a copy of Da Vinci's famous drawing of the anatomy of the heart -- two chambers and all! -- on her forearm. Yay! And huh?

Me smells a diversion tactic here ... Wasn't it just the other day that she had some lame excuse about why she wasn't wearing her engagement ring anymore?
