If there ever was a time to experiment with nail polish, that time is now. There are no rules -- anything goes. You can go super dark, very light, bright colors, or a mix of all of it. This summer there was a lot of bright green, bold turquoise, and periwinkle blue and you can wear those all through the year, but the look everyone should try now is painting their own nails as if it was a spa manicure.

Almost anyone can do it, and if your hand isn't too steady, ask a friend. The look doesn't have to be perfect either. Like in this photo, try a light turquoise, let dry. Paint the tips gold, then use a coral red to add dots by dipping a toothpick in the polish.

You've heard of "nail art" before, but you've never really seen it taken to this level. Beyonce posted a photo of her extreme manicure, and let's just say, it's not nail art, it's a nail renaissance. With rhinestones, glitter, letters, and photos, this is the polish to end all polishes.

Queen B posted the pic to her Tumblr page and we haven't stopped talking about it since. My theory is that Jennifer Coolidge from Legally Blonde did the manicure, which, you know, bend and snap and lol and everything.

The Fifty Shades of Grey books are taking over the nation in more ways than one, and if you're really a hard core fan, there are plenty of ways you can show off your obsession for the book by incorporating all things "Fifty" into your personal style. (Yes, I'm serious, and yes -- people are probably already doing this.)

And I'm not talking about getting all risque and walking around in your birthday suit (or some other erotic get-up) or anything like that. I'm simply referring weaving a little more "Grey" into your wardrobe -- even by doing something as simple as choosing a shade of gray nail polish for your pedicure. (C'mon, pastels are SO three months ago.)

Now that a rainbow of options are in, I'll gladly pass on the standard reds and pinks. My nails are sizzlin' in bright yellow, green, and orange shades that make me feel bold and beautiful. Hell, you know a trend has made its mark when the always fierce Kim K is jumping on board.

The Kardashian crew just launched their line Kardashian Kolors, with colors inspired by each of the girls (my fave: Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam). And boy are they preeetttty! With so many awesome color combos to try, I seriously can't wait to get my hooks into every hue!

Some people get tattoos of their favorite celebrities, but seriously? That is way too stalkerish. The way to go is getting this ridiculously awesome manicure so you can have Ryan Gosling at your fingertips.

Beauty bloggers have been replicating the look using beads from craft stores -- but now Sephora is now offering a kit that lets you get your caviar manicure on without paying a visit to Hobby Lobby.

Out of all the women who have extra time and money to splurge on getting regular manicures and pedicures, you'd think it would be Madonna. And you'd also expect someone with an A-list status like hers to know better than to put on a pair of open-toed shoes without making sure that her feet are in picture perfect condition. (Um -- hello, Madge? Photographers have a knack for focusing in on the slightest imperfection.)

Check out this photo of Madonna wearing peep-toe shoes, and showing off some very nasty toes at an event to launch her new Truth or Dare fragrance in New York City last week. Her toenails are way overdue for a clipping, and they also appear yellow, leaving me to wonder if the Material Girl has some sort of fungal infection going on. (So gross!) What on earth was she thinking by stepping out with un-pedicured feet?

Who doesn't like getting their nails did? It's relaxing; it's affordable "me-time" at its best; and when everything is said and done, you've got 10 works of art on your hands.
