Aha, yesssssss! Naomi Watts, who was the absolute best dressed at the Oscars the other week, was seen at the zoo with her kids this weekend wearing "pajamas." I AM VINDICATED! Moms everywhere are doing a happy little jig! For I, too, have been spotted outside of the house in my PJ bottoms! But only in the morning, you guys. And I'm in good company.

Of course, Watts (pictured here on another casual outing with her cute-pie children) is probably not REALLY wearing, like, pajama-pajamas that you buy from the juniors' sleepwear department, which is what I’ve been spotted in on more than one occasion at school drop-off (and then 10 minutes later buying a latte!). She’s probably wearing some kind of ultra-chic yet laid-back brand of pants. But, dudes, Watts' pants sure look just like pajama bottoms, especially paired with her totally casual and fairly rumpled gray T-shirt.

Aloha, all you cold weather party people. Since the temperature here in New York City is approximately zero dark negative thirty, I think it's time we have a chat about appropriate winter wear. Most specifically, earmuffs. More specifically, on men.

I'm not here to make any excuses or solve any problems, but let's all just get one thing straight: dudes in earmuffs look ridiculous. Just look at Zac Efron here taking a break while filming Are We Officially Dating in NYC and tell me he doesn't look absurd in his muffs.

I think I should have been born to a different generation. Maybe the '40s or '50s -- during the height of awesome style. I'm obsessed with the prints, the frocks, the floppy hats, the fabrics, and the way women were admired and respected for their curvaceous figures. Ah, it was a beautiful thing.

But since we can't go back in time (damn it!), lucky for us that fashion recycles regularly. Most of the looks I drool over from yesteryear are making an appearance today -- which includes stunning one-piece bathing suit designs and yep, you guessed it: Sun hats. When I think of time well spent at the beach, I picture a cloudless sky, a big drink, and gorgeous, shady straw hat to read under.

Backyard dwellers and beach goers alike, it's high time we took a hint from the hat styles of days old with these six sunny caps made for summer. Take a look.

When the "sh*t people say" video meme veered from trying to make people laugh to trying to make boneheads with no tact shut up, I had to jump on board. My 6-foot-tall friend found one dedicated to the ridiculous things she's heard countless times from people who can't get over her height, and I've seen more than a few about race and ethnicity that make me shake with rage.

But all you video makers out there missed a group that hears plenty of comments from the peanut gallery -- and none of them good! We are the ladies who rock a short haircut. And if you think you've got something funny to say to us, do yourself a favor. Don't. Because you'll probably find it lands right there on the list of things we've heard before -- and never want to hear again:

Hats are hot again this fall, with cloches, fedoras, newsboy caps, and floppy-brimmed hats from the '70s making the strongest showings this season.

(Luckily, it looks like the Kate Middleton-inspired fascinators are already fizzling out.)

Rachel McAdams has been spotted sporting a cloche, Lea Michele (pictured to your left) and Miranda Kerr are favoring the floppy hat, and, well ... pretty much every celebrity out there wears a fedora on a regular basis.

New additions this fall include the bowler hat and the wide-brimmed fedora.

I love hats because they're a less expensive way to update your wardrobe, and there's a hat out there to suit just about anyone.

Also? They keep your head warm!

If you thought the hat that Princess Beatrice's wore to the royal wedding was odd, you ain't seen nothing yet. Philip Treacy, the famous British hat designer responsible for the romantic-mirror-meets-pretzel hat Beatrice wore, gave an interview in which he said that Lady Gaga wants to be his intern.

The Gaga has worn some of Treacy's creations in the past, and so have Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker. We know that Gaga is a fan of an eccentric outfit so if this internship actually happens, we're all in for a world of crazy hats.

    Joy.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William continued their North American tour this morning when they headed to a little old-fashioned Texan Canadian rodeo. The Royal newlyweds were on hand for the Calgary stampede and kicked off the parade with streamers and fireworks, and woo! By-golly y'all it looked like a jolly good time. I think the hats, and Kate's face, say it all.

Is she surprised that we love that she and Will are wearing matching cowboy hats?

Helena Bonham CarterOh, Helena Bonham Carter, she never misses a kooky beat in the crazy rhythm of life, does she? Here she is all decked out for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiere in London tonight.

While Carter is a bit of a fashion rule breaker, is there ever a British festivity that isn't worthy of a crazy hat? I don't think so. Just ask Princess Beatrice. Every party is a crazy hat party in London!

Sometimes, when I watch Amber Riley as Mercedes on Glee, I feel like she's one of my own girlfriends. The way she acts, the catchy phrases she uses ... I have no shame in admitting she may actually be cooler than my friends, too. It's OK, I love them still.

So when I saw Riley step outside in this fedora, the epitome of cool summer style, I got a little more girl envy and decided I needed to find one of my own. Sure, the whole UGGs in summer component to this look is sort of definitely questionable. But the hat is tres chic, don't you think?

For a while now, I've had my qualms about making the fedora investment. Will it look silly on me? Will I get too hot? Am I just not as hipster coolio as a hat of this stature suggests?

Alas, it's time. And lucky for us this hat is one item that is absolutely flooding the stores right now. Take a looksee at these 10 great fedoras, perfect for all different styles and tastes this summer season.
