What would you do if you were driving along by yourself in the middle of the night when all of a sudden, alone on the side of the road, you saw the creepiest, most terrifying clown you'd ever seen? Would you A) crap your pants?, B) take a picture, or C) speed off knowing the odds of you getting a good night's sleep any time in the next few months were pretty much zero? Likely, your answer would be D) all of the above. And that's exactly what the poor residents of Staten Island are doing, because OMG, there's a scary clown terrorizing their town!!!

Everyone is going to bring pumpkin pie to your Thanksgiving dinner. And there's nothing wrong with that, of course, because traditions are important. But why not shake things up just slightly this year by taking an old standard -- pumpkin -- and making it just a little more interesting and beautiful by turning it into a super-artsy trifle dessert served in a stunning glass bowl?

This recipe, which comes from The Cooking Mom, contains several steps and should be saved for a day when you have a bit of time on your hands -- but in no way does that make it a difficult dessert to whip up. Once you have all your ingredients ready to go, it's quite simple to assemble and looks like it took a great deal of effort to make.

In case you're in the mood to read something so completely so wackadoodle your head may explode, check it out ... While some parents in North Dakota were contending with their self-righteous neighbor hell-bent on fat-shaming children, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, parents were "treated" to anti-abortion cards in their kids' candy haul!

Imagine digging in your daughter's pillow case for a Snickers and coming out with a card displaying a fetus that declares, "I am not a clump of cells. I am a human being." Err, how 'bout fun-size Skittles? Nope, here's another card that says, "Am I not human?" SO insaaaaane!

The only thing that makes sense about this revolting move is the timing: The local news station points out that the city is having a special election on November 19 to vote on a referendum that would ban abortions after 20 weeks in the city on the (false) grounds that at 20 weeks, a fetus can feel pain.

Did you wake up this morning and basically go, ZOMG ALL DA CANDY. It was Halloween yesterday, it's inevitable that there will be a bunch of sweets in the house you're not accustomed to usually hosting. So what to do with all that candy before the kids become tiny sugar monsters and destroy everything you own? Make different foods out of the candy that are even sweeter, of course.

So go ahead and check out this Candy Bar Chocolate Brownies recipe. You can use any kind of chocolate peanut butter leftover candy bars, but this recipe from David Lieberman recommends Snickers fun size. You should have plenty of those. Perhaps it will be even more fun to cook these brownies whilst on a sugar high? Come on, it's the one time of year you can have as many treats as you want without being committed. YOLO? Do people still say that?

If your house is like mine, you're currently surrounded by huge amounts of Halloween candy! The question is, what can we do with all that candy without wasting it. Donating Halloween candy is always a great option, but even tastier than donating candy is the idea of making something spectacular with it! I went to Pinterest to find out what I could do with all of our candy and was thrilled to discover leftover Halloween candy bark seemed to be a real hit. The best part is that this chocolaty treat requires no baking and no additional ingredients ... JUST your Halloween candy! You can also make it now and then freeze it for a time when you've all come out of the Halloween sugar coma.

When it comes to having dessert, it can't really be considered a splurge if you eat something tiny, right? Well, that's the philosophy I plan on using when I make this sweet Mini Pumpkin Cupcakes recipe for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and everything in between.

Come on. You gotta love these things. They're small enough that you won't have to run an extra mile on the treadmill to work 'em off, yet they're tasty enough to satisfy our craving for a comforting sugary finish to whatever our meal of choice happens to be.

Of course, something tells me it's pretty hard to eat just one of these cupcakes, which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole mini thing -- but who cares?!?

OMG. Wait until you read this hilarious note written by a mom to the person who stole her 2-year-old's pumpkin off of her front porch.

I mean, I think all moms will agree that it's pretty hard to keep our tempers in check when someone messes with our kids, particularly when we have innocent, wee little ones who wouldn't hurt a fly -- let alone swipe someone's Halloween decoration from the front of their house!

For the last three weeks now, I've told myself almost every night that I should carve the pumpkin I have sitting on the dusty corner of my living room table. The issue? I have no idea what cute little face I wanna implant on that sucker. While looking for some inspiration this morning, I can honestly say that I've found some of the most amazing jack-o'-lanterns ever created. As in, some people have some fantastic pumpkin carving skills.

Like, more fantastic than fantastic, actually. As in -- I hope to be nearly as good at something over the course of my lifetime as these pumpkin carving masters are at slicing and dicing a Halloween gourd.

As a self-confessed scaredy cat, I've never been into pranks or practical jokes. Doing them or being the target of 'em! But this Halloween, there have been some hilarious ones I can't help but crack up over ...

First, comedian Tom Mabe's flying grim reaper freaked people out in a park, and now, YouTube funnyman Ed Bassmaster has taken to the streets of Philadelphia to terrify passersby as a "Vampire in the City." Even if you're like me and a 'fraidy baby, this is a must-watch, because it is downright hysterical!
