In what might be some of the best beauty news ever for women, researchers may have finally found a way to get rid of stubborn cellulite once and for all. The new treatment, called Cellulaze, uses lasers to melt fat under the skin, and at the same time cut the septae of the skin, which are the connective fibers that make cellulite appear much worse.

Making unsightly cellulite disappear is definitely on the wish list of pretty much every mom I know, myself included. There's nothing worse than putting on a bathing suit and concluding that your thighs and butt somewhat resemble the exterior of a golf ball -- so most of us are willing to try pretty much anything to smooth out our skin and put an end to the jiggly bits.

I'm all for feelin' good in your own skin. Whether petite, tall, large, small, pear-shaped, or busty, being a woman is a beautiful thing. But you know what hasn't always been easy for a lot shapes? Wearing a belt. To me, it's always felt a little bit like lady kryptonite.

You know what I mean, right? Sitting right on your waistline, a chunky belt makes you feel bigger instead of flaunting your svelte figure -- and that's a BIG bummer, especially since it's such a hot trend. Well, I'm here to tell ya, a belt can accentuate your best assets if you wear it right.

This tried-and-true fashion gem can add flair to just about any look and make you look lean too. So buckle up ladies!

Here are five of the most fashionable and slimming tricks to use with any belt:

This morning, I came across an article in InStyle where stylists offered up their tips and suggestions for common fashion problems among women who actually know something about fashion. From how to avoid wardrobe malfunctions to keeping long pants from dragging on the ground to stopping your heels from slipping out of your shoes, there really were some useful take-aways. It's just too bad that most moms don't have many occasions where we get to dress up (meaning wearing something other than jeans or yoga pants), so most of us won't use these tips in our everyday lives.

But there are plenty of other fashion fixes I use on a daily basis to help me feel more comfortable in my clothes, while still looking good and feeling confident. And not surprisingly, most of my tips involve making myself appear slimmer and hiding my jiggly bits.

Well, hallelujah! Can I get a huge round of applause for Bethenny Frankel for using real women instead of models to launch her new shapewear line? I gotta tell ya -- I am getting so sick and tired of seeing pin-thin models demonstrating how to wear shapewear for figure fixes that they most certainly don't need.

And even though she's about as skinny as they get, Bethenny had the good sense to put her "Skinnygirl Smoothers n' Shapers" line to the test using women she knows in real life, who have real bodies. Isn't it great that even though she's a size 0, or size 2 at most, she still realizes that not all women fall into that size range?

As a longtime Gilmore Girls fanatic, I've always hearted my fellow South Side Chicago gal Melissa McCarthy and thought she was a totally talented comedienne, so it's super-satisfying to see her finally getting her moment in the sun. But just because she's an incredibly coveted actress and Emmy winner these days doesn't mean she doesn't occasionally suffer embarrassing fashion emergencies! In fact, she recently told Ellen about one hilarious moment involving shapewear. And the wardrobe malfunction she describes is one MANY women can relate to!

See, those of us who wear Spanx definitely have a love-hate relationship with the damn things. They're lifesavers when you want to smooth out any bumps or rolls, but they can also have a reeeeally unnatural way of shifting your whole outfit around. Or riding up out of nowhere and being a real pain ... literally!

Just consider what happened to Melissa.

Until a week ago, if you asked me how much I'd spend on a bra, I'd say around $30. Period.

I've always chosen my everyday bras based on what's on sale, and they've all worked out well enough.

A bra is a bra is a bra. Right? Well now, I'm not so sure.

I was sent a bra to try out this past week (from a COMPANY- get your mind out of the gutter!). It was a bra I've heard raves about over the years and I'd always wanted to try it, but there was only one problem.

    It cost $62.

When I put it on, all my theories about bras went right out the window.

The first time I bought a pair of Spanx, I was so shifty-eyed and secretive, I might as well have been buying drugs. I felt like the purchase was an admission that I'd never again have the perfectly svelte body of my college days. It was depressing. Embarrassing. Soul-crushing.

If only Kristen Stewart's scandalous Spanx secret had been exposed back then ... I would have felt so much better.

Fall catalogs are stacking up, making us all feel inadequate, so it's time to do something meaningful with the misery and make our fall wardrobes wonderful. So you didn't lose the ten extra pounds over the summer like you'd hoped. Me neither. But that's no excuse NOT to shop for great-looking clothes this season. In fact, the only answer to the extra-ten-pounds woe is buying clothes that fit your ten-pounds-heavier body, which actually makes you look and feel thinner. I swear it's true!

Plus, this fall there are many slimming trends and styles that can help camouflage problem areas, from tummies to thighs to waists that are shorter than the length of my index finger (shut up I was born this way, and no I don't have an extra long index finger). They won't all work for everyone -- because we're all perfectly imperfect in different ways -- but I promise you'll find a few that will make you feel fabulous!

Let's take a peek at 5 fall styles with a magical slimming effect!
