In the final presidential debate, President Obama and Mitt Romney squared off on foreign policy -- trading barbs, zingers, and their platforms on everything from a nuclear Iran to horses and bayonets. And while polls are reporting a pretty solid victory for one candidate over the other, the winner of another contentious competition is less clear ... That is, the one between First Lady Michelle Obama and Ann Romney's dueling A-line debate dresses!

Last night, instead of being color twinsies -- as they had been during last week's townhall debate -- the candidates' wives both opted for the same classic silhouette. So who wore it best?

There was a hot debate last night, all right. In fact, there were two. Forget Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. The most exciting question to emerge from last night's town hall had nothing to do with international affairs, the economy, or Big Bird. There was an entirely different showdown happening between the candidates' wives.

That's right, Michelle Obama and Ann Romney went head to head too.

I just got a glimpse of myself as I strolled past the bathroom mirror and had to backtrack. Yikes. Actually double yikes. Eyes all puffy, skin all patchy and blotchy, lips all dried out like two big cactus puffs. I am an allergy sufferer (emphasis on sufferer). And today, I look every bit the part, though I haven’t yet done anything to fix myself up to appear presentable. I also haven’t taken my little pills yet, though I’m not sure if even the miracles of modern medicine are any match for the rural sprawl of trees, shrubs, and grass here at my mom’s house in Pennsylvania, where The Girl and I are spending Memorial Day weekend. Still, I’ve come prepared with my magic kit of girlie stuff to help me get it together before the family barbecue kicks off and my younger cousin, who fancies himself quite a witty one, shows up with an arsenal of jokes about me looking like MJ in “Thriller” after he skips past the cemetery. You know, like this: 

Take notice, Beyonce. There’s a new most beautiful woman in town. An 18-year-old British girl, Florence Colgate, who works part-time in a fish-n-chips shop, won a contest looking for the world's most "naturally" beautiful woman. "Naturally" meaning a face without makeup or surgical enhancements.

Beauty, apparently, is not in the eye of the beholder. There’s a scientific explanation as to why we’re attracted to certain faces more than others –- it’s because those faces are more symmetrical. There's a whole process here. For example, the length between the eyes and the mouth should be exactly one third of the length between the hairline and the chin. Are you buying this?

Not the fashion face-off in questionYou know what there hasn't been enough of in the world lately? Kate and Pippa Middleton. Where ever have thou raven-haired siblings been? I mean, yeah, we saw Pippa a few weeks ago, flashing her undercarriage at the Alice Temperley fashion show, but it seems like months since we've last seen Kate. And a two-for-one sighting? Pshh, feels like not since the royal wedding.

Well, we're in luck. The sisters Middleton were both at the same wedding this past Saturday, and of course, both looked stunning in their girlish frocks and classic wedding hats.

But one sister SHUT. IT. DOWN.

Even with a bulging baby bump, Ali Larter and Christina Applegate are glowing ... literally. Just look at their amazing skin. How is it possible that celebs always look good?

It's not all about beauty though. These celebs also worked their wardrobe on the red carpet. Ali Larter brightened up her skin-tight black ensemble with a little white blazer at Comic-Con, and Christina Applegate rocked head-to-toe basic black at the premiere of Cats and Dogs 2.

Both of these women commented on loving their heels (they both have on sky-high black peep toes), even though they're carrying around an extra bump, so it's no surprise they aren't sacrificing comfort for fashion. At least not yet.

Angelina Jolie is rarely ever out of her signature color ... black. We don't blame her -- she always looks hot, hot, hot in it. This mom of six (makes me tired just thinking about it) just had her newest film, Salt, hit the big screen. And surprise, surprise, she stepped out in all-black at her premiere and at Comic-Con.

I'm jealous. I totally want to be able to wear a ball gown with a poufy, ruffley, feathered skirt for a glam event. Damn you celebs!

Maybe my desire comes from the fact that I skipped prom (I was too cool, obvi -- I wish) and haven't gotten married yet.

I'm not usually a puffy dress kind of gal, for example, but I'm loving these two dresses.

Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria both wore similar dresses at the Cannes Film Festival and looked gorgeous.

But I loved one just a little bit more ...
