In case you missed it, Hunger Games fever is taking over. Our very own Sheri Reed attended last night's world premiere in Los Angeles, people everywhere are having their very own Hunger Games dinner parties, and I don't know about you -- but I can't stop GAWKING over the movie's leading men. Wowzers! Someone, anyone, PLEASE get Liam Hemsworth my phone number, STAT.

OK, while a date with Liam may not be in my immediate future -- it seems like some of the fly fashion from the movie, which comes out in theaters nationwide on March 23, is. Thanks to the video (top) from PopSugar, we all can get Katniss Everdeen's cute button-down blue dress and a whole slew of other cute looks from the film.

For a price, that is.

Woman Wears Lady Gaga Meat Dress ... to Work

lady gaga meat dress

There always seems to be at least one outlandish dresser at work. You know, the one who wears hideous sweaters with seriously mismatching jeans, or bright purple stockings with an orange corduroy skirt. But I bet the fashion eccentrics at your office have nothing on 30-year-old Jo Edwards, who wore a replica of Lady Gaga's raw meat dress to the office.

"I don’t know what my colleagues thought of me turning up to work in the meat dress," said Edwards. "I will probably not hear the end of this for a while but who cares."

Just wait until you hear why she decided to channel her inner Mother Monster:

You Can Dress Just Like Your Favorite Emmy Stars in Red

on Sep 19, 2011 at 2:30 PM

lea micheleThe 63rd Annual Emmy Awards have come and gone, and the only thing more abundant than laughs during Sunday night's show was the color red. From Lea Michele in Marchesa and Kate Winslet in Elie Saab to Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan, I wasn't just seeing a whole lot of red, I was LOVING IT. Did you get a glimpse of Sofia Vergara's curvalicious Vera Wang dress?! I die! If only I had some fancy-schmancy gala dinner to go to.

What I really love about all these ladies in red is that they have different skin tones, body shapes, and hairstyles, but the color looked fab on 'em all. Could red be the new black?! Seems to me like after last night, it's at least going to be the "it" color this season, which means it's time to stock up! Check out these 8 great red dresses for fall:

Get Emma Stone's Stunning Style for Next to Nothing (PHOTOS)

emma stoneRed-haired beauty Emma Stone looked absolutely fabulous at The Help movie premiere last night in Beverly Hills. The 22-year-old actress appeared so polished from head to toe in her Chanel couture ensemble that I've totally changed my opinion on monochrome outfits (it's close enough to being just one color, in my opinion). She looked cool, casual, comfortable, and elegant in soft violet and gray.

I can't afford Chanel (boo) but I can afford Urban Outfitters (yay!), so I've pulled together a few tops, skirts, and accessories to try to re-create Emma's look for a lady on a budget. I had to improvise a bit, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?

Here's how to get Emma's look from the tip of her hair clip to the soles of her (incredible) shoes. Oh, and huge pic of Emma after the jump so we can see everything.

'Fashion Camp' Makes the Girl Scouts Seem Even Frumpier

fashion aveIn a former life, I was Arts & Crafts co-director at a summer camp. Oh yeah. Tie-dye t-shirts, friendship bracelets, anything and everything plus glue and glitter ... those were the days. It was a simple time filled with the simple joys of pipe cleaner activities and smelly markers. Times, though, have changed. It's out with the old fashion and in with the new fashion ... and I mean that literally. There's a camp in NYC for those 12- to 18-year-olds out there who have a passion for fashion ... and rich parents. It's called FashionCampNYC.

I know, you can't decide if you love the idea or hate the idea. Let me help. You love it and hate it. Here's why.

Sophie KinsellaIt's hard to believe that one of the most famous shopaholic's shopping tips consist of items that are free (yes, free) or super cheap, but sifting through thrift shops and your grandmother's closet is exactly what the author of the Shopaholic book series, Sophie Kinsella, recommends.

Fashion Addiction: New Dress a Day

Posted by Lindsay Ferrier
on Oct 8, 2010 at 6:50 PM

New Dress a Day365 days. 365 new outfits. 365 dollars.

That's the tagline of my new favorite site, New Dress a Day. Inspired by the movie Julie and Julia, the blog's author, Marisa, was inspired to do her own year-long creative challenge. But instead of French cooking, she chose vintage clothes. She writes:

The only shopping that I’ll be able to do is that of pieces that have been used and worn already. So long to mall trips and hello to sifting through piles of vintage pieces at flea markets and at neighborhood garage sales. Each day for the entire year, I’m going to introduce a new piece into my existing wardrobe that I’ve found from these places. On top of this, I’m giving myself a budget of $1 a day.

Here's today's vintage find before she took to it with shears and a sewing machine.

How to Make Your Own Mittens -- Quick & Easy!

Posted by Michele Zipp
on Sep 28, 2010 at 3:20 PM

fingerless glovesEvery year when the weather starts getting cold, I think about gloves, but I usually get extremely disappointed when I shop for them. Most are too short (hello, my wrists need to stay warm, too) and so many of them are just way too expensive. I also love the fingerless mittens provided they too are long so I can still grab on to things (or text). I'd just layer in a pair of short gloves when it gets really cold.

This year, instead of buying a pair, I'm going to make my own. And you can, too.

All you need is an old sweater, needle and thread, scissors, and about 10 minutes to dedicate.
