Beyonce may have had an action-packed year filled with becoming a mom, premiering an HBO documentary about her life, and performing at the Super Bowl, but she's not showing signs of slowing down anytime soon. Blue Ivy's mama and Jay-Z's wife kicked off her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour yesterday night in Belgrade, Serbia and debuted one costume in particular everyone can't stop talking about -- because it's doesn't "leave much to the imagination." Uh huh.

Sorry, people. A gold sequined leotard with the outline of breasts, nipples, aerolas, and abs is not the same thing as actually revealing her breasts, nipples, aerolas, and abs.

Every year around the Oscars, I happen to catch a segment on some fashion show telling me what the newest trend is, based on this year's hit movies. I recall the first of these segments aired a couple years back during a pre-Oscar lineup. I was informed that with the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, I would start to see a lot of people in new blockbuster-inspired fashions.

What I loved most was when they mentioned that "even moms could get in on the trend." Really? Even frumpy ol' moms could get in on the crappy trend some PR person thought up to help put tushes in seats? Wow, we moms are lucky. Here are a couple of those fashions touted to us that I find truly ridiculous:

After Beyonce stole the entire Super Bowl show with her electrifying (for real) performance last night, the backlash couldn't be far off. Unsurprisingly, tongues are now clucking about how Bey's S&M-y leather and lace bodysuit -- designed by Rubin Singer and meant to evoke warrior women -- was "inappropriate" for family viewing. What's more, others are carrying on with some ridiculous stretch of a story about a nip slip. Ugh. People. Give me a break!

Maybe it was inevitable. Maybe anything remotely sexual or especially illustrative of confident female sexuality -- at the Super Bowl of all places! -- was bound to get bashed. Because I'm just not seeing how the diva's costume was in any way questionable. And the claim that she suffered a true wardrobe malfunction is completely ludicrous.

Hollywood's hottest basically play dress up 365 days out of the year (aka Halloween forever!), so I wiiiiiishhhh they would do us all a favor and wear costumes year round. Why? Because they look better. So often, the celebs can get a little booooring in the style department. And on Halloween, stars opt for funky, daring looks and this year, golly! did they not disappoint. Seriously! It was like a breath of fresh fashion air. Some were covered up, some were uncovered, and some were spotted in hot trends that made my eyes widen with delight. Whatever's in the Hollywood water, I hope they keep drinkin' it.

You may be a little skeptical here but friends, I swear, I do not jest on this one! I wholeheartedly believe Kim KardashianHilary Duff, and more should dress like this every day of the year. Take a look at the five stars with the most spot-on Halloween style:

Wow. Just when we thought she couldn't possibly get any hotter, former Dancing With the Stars contestant Stacy Kiebler wore this stunning dress and gothic looking mask to a Halloween masquerade party in Las Vegas -- further proving herself to be one of the sexiest women on the face of the earth.

And while George Clooney was nowhere in sight and didn't have the pleasure of seeing Stacy in this get-up, she didn't seem to mind hosting the event at the Hyde Bellagio by herself at all.

As a mom, I'm sure you've already figured out that finding a fun and appropriate Halloween costume to wear can be kind of a difficult task. On the one hand, it's the one night of the year you get to step out of the role of "mom," so it's only natural to want to choose a costume that makes you feel a little bit on the sexy side.

The problem is that so many women's costumes go WAY overboard on the sexy these days, putting them into more of a trashy category.

But the good news is that I've managed to find a few costumes for moms that still have a certain element of sex appeal going on without making you look like you belong on a street corner offering up your services.

Finding the perfect Halloween costume can be tough when you're pregnant, especially since there aren't too many maternity costumes out there to choose from. And aside from finding something unique and fun to wear on Halloween, staying comfortable is definitely a must.

I can remember going into work on Halloween while I was expecting my son, and opting out of dressing up simply because I didn't think I could sit in a costume all day long. I tried to joke around with my co-workers by saying I was disguised as a "pregnant gal," but none of them found the humor in that statement at all. (What the heck?) But had I seen this fun "Bun in the Oven" costume, maybe I would've had a change of heart and opted to get in on the dressing-up fun that day.

As much fun as it is to see our kids dress up in cute Halloween costumes, getting the family pets in on the dress-up action makes the holiday even more fun -- not to mention hilarious and adorable.

And if any city knows how to throw a great Halloween pet party, it's New York. Just last weekend the 22nd annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade took place -- and plenty of festive pups turned out for the event.

Get a load of this little guy dressed up like a lobster -- isn't he about the best looking crustacean you've ever seen?
