Perfection is overrated. And intensely boring. Think about it: though physically gorgeous, would Angelina Jolie have the career she has if she weren't intriguing on the inside as well as the outside? Nope -- she'd just be another pretty face who played someone's girlfriend in some movie and never acted again.

We continue to be bombarded with images of flawless celebs who have had plastic surgery, never seem to age, and whose images are photoshopped practically beyond recognition. But a former fashion editor and her daughter are determined to prove to the world that beautiful women come in all shapes, sizes, skin tones, and hair textures with an amazing new effort called "The What's Underneath Project."

In each "body positive" video -- one of which features Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah Willis giving a candid and chilling interview about suffering from body dysmorphia -- women remove their clothes and reveal their true selves.

Not long ago, a gorgeous aspiring model named Bethany Townsend showed the world she -- and anyone else suffering from Crohn's disease -- has nothing to be ashamed of when she posed in a sexy bikini that exposed her colostomy bags. Bethany did a wonderful thing by both spreading awareness for the disease and, possibly, encouraging other women with colostomy bags to walk proudly and not let the bags define them.

Now men with the same condition have their own hot spokesmodel (and we ladies get to enjoy some eye candy). Blake Beckford is a male British fitness model whose amazing body is being splashed all over mags -- colostomy bag and all.

"I'm a better mum after having a boob job," claims 19-year-old Tamsin Wade, who took out a loan to pay for 32G implants. The young mother says her breast size went from D-cup to AA-cup after she had her son, and the dramatic change was so traumatizing, she was "'forced to wear baggy clothes to hide my figure." Wade adds, "Getting into a bikini made me feel so uncomfortable that me and Finley had never been swimming."

It's easy to mock a young woman who loses all sense of perspective just because her breasts are smaller. I mean, it's not like the boob police are literally forcing her to wear baggy clothes. And is being petite really so distracting that you can't focus on your job as a mother?!? But maybe we're being too hard on her.

A couple of days ago, a friend of mine posted an essay on Facebook written by Jenny Trout for Huffington Post entitled, "I Wore a Bikini and Nothing Bad Happened." The photo of Jenny wasn't one you're probably used to seeing. Yes, images of women in bikinis are a dime a dozen, and any time I write an article about Jessica Simpson's bikini body, I know a whole lot of women (myself included) aren't going to be able to resist clicking on it to see. To compare. Critique. Feel bad about. Feel inspired by.

But this photo was different. Jenny looked happy -- when's the last time you saw a genuine smile on a bikini-clad woman and not a please-want-me "glamour pout"? She is young, pretty -- and obese.

Her essay about fulfilling a New Year's resolution to wear a bikini went viral and has inspired -- and angered -- lots of people. We spoke with Jenny to find out more.

When we think of Victoria's Secret model Chrissy Teigen, we think: oh, she's got a pretty face and seems nice enough. Poor thing, if only she weren't so darn fat

    Said NO ONE ever.

Only, wait -- that's not true. If you can believe it, an actual person -- or people, or entire company, or whatever -- once told John Legend's gorgeous wife that she was too fat to wear its clothing at a photo shoot. Yep, Teigen was kicked off the set and humiliated. And it's the best thing that ever happened to us -- and all women.

Calling all moms: it is totally possible to still be the hottest thing on the beach this summer. Jessica Alba can do it  -- while raising two little girls and running a thriving business, remember. And here's the best part -- the actress hates exercising.

Now there's a girl after our own hearts.

Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, were spotted vacationing in Mexico this week and all anyone can talk about is how insanely hot the mommy looks in her bikini. But here's what really great about the 33-year-old star: she seems HEALTHY.

If you have to be scary thin to be hot in Hollywood, these amazing stars didn't get the memo. They are among the most gorgeous celebs around and their bodies are strong, sexy, and, most importantly, healthy. After two, three (and in one case eight) kids, they work hard at staying fit, but aren't obsessed with that ridiculously unhealthy standard of beauty that has consumed just about every single other woman around them. Take a look at the hottest celeb moms out there.

What would the "perfect" woman look like? E! polled its readers to find out which female stars have the best body parts and then cobbled together a Frankenstein's monster of the perfect celebrity. Mila Kunis' hair and Sofia Vergara's boobs and Blake Lively's legs and ... does this cut-and-paste woman even make sense?!? Of course not. But as long as they're playing this game we had to wonder, why stop at the perfect female body? Let's try the same thing with male celebs! I polled our staff writers to find out whose body parts are the most ideal. Behold, the "perfect" man according to the Stir writers.

E! News co-anchor Giuliana Rancic has been through a lot in the last few years. She and husband Bill Rancic have been transparent about their struggle to become parents and the host not only suffered a miscarriage right before her third trimester, but underwent three rounds of in vitro fertilization treatments -- which is how she wound up, thank God, sitting for a mammogram and discovering she had breast cancer. She had radiation treatments AND a double mastectomy.

Rancic has had joyful moments too -- with the help of a surrogate, she and Bill were able to have a baby boy. But this can't be stated enough: the woman has survived a great deal. So yeah, she may have looked a little skinnier than usual at the 41st Annual Emmy Awards, but she still looked fantastic. And anyone who is quick to jump on the anorexia train should pause and think for a moment.

The country is praising Miss USA 2014 contestant Mekayla Diehl, who represented Indiana but lost to Miss Nevada, because her swimsuit body was totally "normal," which is code for not a bag of bones. Considering how most women in the competition are very, very thin, it is nice to see Diehl confidently parade across the stage wearing a bikini and showing off a few more curves than most of her peers. But we're doing her -- and other women and young girls -- a disservice when we label her physique as "normal."
