Ellipse Hipsters ($36) at Anthropologie
The latest trend in vintage-inspired underwear (granny panties, hipsters, tap pants, boys shorts, knickers, call them what you will...), well, they are stirring a little something in me, something, I must admit, that Victoria's Secret lingerie has never stirred in me.
Not sure what it is about these granny-chic big panties that's got me all worked up, but I'm guessing it's cause they're made for and often modeled by women with more curves. Women sort of like me. So if they look sexy in them, it means maybe, just maybe, I could too. There I said it.
I never see myself in Victoria's Secret tiny underthings because I don't see a single thing about those models or those small-sized things that's like me or would fit me. So I just do not partake.
The return of this curve-hugging, old-style panty, though, might just have me in partaking in prettier lingerie. And in even better news, perhaps this really means THE THONG IS DEAD!
Here's the hot Glamour photo spread, with super-sexy lace briefs from Agent Provocateur ($1,190 for underwear!!!) that started the warm and fuzzy crawling up. Since then I've scouted out some more affordable options.

I have never liked the thong either. Been wearing hipsters and boy shorts for as long as I can remember. Awesome to see that there may be more selection to pick from now, :D
Love the low-cut hipsters. Thongs reserved for exercise clothes, otherwise don't like them.
I'm ready to toss in the thong! Thanks for this.
Love this!!
I teach aerobics, so I usually wear a thong to hide my panty-lines when I teach, but I couldn't be happier that this old style is coming back!!!
I love almost all of these. I have found that my hipster panties are so much more comfortable and move a whole lot less.
I've been wearing a T-back for ever and a day, including thru 2 pregnancies but these have spiked my interest. I'll have to check them out. Anything I should look for in particular, or to stay away from? No idea what, but like fabric/cut...I dunno. lol
I wear a thong every now and then but I have worn Tap pants for years they do just the same with a loose leg they keep panty lines from showing. My boyfriend loves alot of the vintage wear I have. Here are a coupleof sites I go to... What Katie Did, Secrets In Lace. most of the European countries keep theses shops alive
