I like to dress up for holiday gatherings. Heck, I like to dress up whenever I get the chance. I went to brunch for a friend's birthday this weekend and I wore a pretty dress just because.
My sister, on the other hand, always wears jeans. And yes, you can dress up your jeans, and she always does, but I like to take it a step further.
But this year, I'll be 35 (and a half!) weeks pregnant on Thanksgiving and it's at my house, and I think the last thing I want to do is dress up. (I'm not cooking...my husband is and different family members are bringing food, too.)
I'm thinking a presentable pair of lounge pants and long sleeve black top. OK, I'm thinking of this simple pajama set I have from Victoria's Secret (similar to the one above). It doesn't look like PJs, right?
What do you think? Do you dress up for Thanksgiving? Where are you spending the holiday?

I usually just wear jeans or chino pants, and a sweater or something. All depends where we are going. This year we will be in the car a lot so I have no clue what to wear!
Those are cute! But I still think they look like pj's. sorry, lol
But I will be dressing up my jeans, too! I have a really comfy cute brown sweater that I will wear with some flats or those moccasin type shoes, ya know?
it depends, this year i'll do it to show off my belly, the last couple of years i tried but seeing the pictures does not look like i i tried at all =-(
I'll be at home, so no dressing up.
I have always had a secret desire to serve Thanksgiving dinner in my sweats....those VS ones are darling - so you do it & and tell us all about it, how comfortable you were, how relaxed and how much fun you were able to have because you didn't have some dang waistband digging into your side after you ate too much stuffing and how twins started jumping around and clapping inside because they LOVE pumpkin pie...ummm...maybe this is just my version of happiness! LOL
growing up we had to dress up for holidays and i hated it. now i def dress up when we go to Mass [as usual] but am more casual if there is no Mass, or i will change into some more comfortable. i am excited for this Thanksgiving, i bought a new orange v-neck long sleeve top and a short sleeve, 2 button gray sweater type thing to wear over it. im not usually not one for fashion or fads but saw this look in an ad for kohl's and fell in love with it. im going to wear it with jeans though so it wont be super fancy.
If I go somewhere.. yes. But just hanging out at home? No. This year its just DH, me and the kids, and my best friend who's staying with us for a month. We dont have anyone to impress!
Hanging out at home we do not dress up.
Going over to family's homes, we will be dressed up.
So it's all depending on the locale!
An Apron! Well it's true I cook up a storm so I wear a cute apron and usually a sleeveless turtneck under with trendy pants and flats.
