Photo from Gap
These Gap ads are everywhere, you know the commercial where they are singing and dancing around and everyone looks all festive yet still casual? Then there's the magazine ad where I think the models are positioned in the shape of a snowflake or something?
Sigh. This ruffle plaid shirt.
Sigh. The marketing apparently works because I really really want one.
Making my wish list is the Ruffle Front Buffalo Plaid Shirt ($49.50) in red and black, but they also have it in blue/black and black/white.
I'd have to wear it open over a long tank top since I'm about to have my twins any day now, but it's so cute buttoned up with jeans.
Oh it's like being a girly Lumberjane -- too cute.
Have you seen those ads? Do they make you want this shirt, too? What would you wear it with?

I like the red and the white one. but I would probably wear it open
I used to wear a shirt exactly like this in highschool.
Funny how everything old is new again.
I've got to say ruffles + plaid = yuck. Too much. But the ads are cute. And maybe if I were 20 years younger.
These shirts are totally cute. BUT...I'm still waiting to find the person that these shirts look good on. I tried on a bunch at Target a few weeks ago and they were all huge and hanging off of me, even the XS ones which normally fit me fine in all of the other shirts. I looked like a possibly homeless Nirvana groupie.
Can I just say how much I hate the singing and dancing in that commercial! But love the shirts.
OMG! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these plaid ruffled shirts! A denim skirt or blue jeans definitely compliment this shirt! I am getting a couple of these for my 21 year old. She loves this look as well! Plaid was super popular when she was in pre-school 18 years ago....I still have the little red plaid patent-leather box purse I bought her when she was 3 years old!
