I really want fingerless gloves and don't try to talk me out of it.
I know some are kind of more fashion-y than functional, but they still warm the hands!
And the way the weather is right now where I am in NYC they are perfect -- just enough coverage but let will my fingers breathe and I'm able to grab things out of my bag more easily.
I can always layer them when it gets colder.
The Diamond Cuff Glove ($28) from Free People are my favorite ones. They come in black and heather grey.
But I also love Tarnish Chunky Cable Knit Fingerless Gloves ($18) from Nordstrom because they go up the arm more and I have a 3/4 sleeve coat that would look cute with these.

As someone old enough to have lived through the fashion nightmare they called the 80's once - I'd have to pass because the vision of Madonna's Virgin Tour is causing a few flashbacks that I would prefer to not relive - LOL!
I have a few pairs, I love them ;-D.
Hahah MomIWant...I'm there with you. I even had a homemade Michael Jackson glove!!! Oh the 80s. I do dislike most of the things from that time, but I am loving these gloves. At least they aren't lace or neon, right? Hee hee.
CUTE.
Those are super cute! --- It's never cold like that here in Florida, but when I was living in Pennsylvania, it was DEF cold enough there! --- I had about 12 pairs of various gloves, including fingerless arm warmer ones, they were my favorite!

How cute are these?! --->

I was thinking of "smokers gloves" as we called them in high school (where the mitten flap is buttoned up or left down) but these are actually really cute.
Lovin' those crocheted fingerless gloves PinkSodaPop! Too cute. I LOVE that website.
i love them - they are very functional actually! they're good for driving, and dealing with the kids' noses, etc in cold weather :)
i love the ones at http://www.threddies.com - they have the best basic styles at really reasonable prices. just ordered these convertible gloves (w/ a mitten flap - more function!) - http://www.threddies.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=140_141&products_id=454
I have one pair of convertible mittens I made a couple of years ago and I'm working on a pair of fingerless gloves right now. I love them. It helps so much when you have kids you need to buckle in carseats or zip coats for. Here's the pattern I'm working on.
