A Gorgeous CafeMom Wedding

I love weddings as cliche as it sounds. They are just so...happy! And beautiful!

I stumbled across the profile of JenMarieRN, who posted some gorgeous photos of her wedding, and I wrote her asking to share some details leading up to her big day.

Here's Jen's love story, in her own words...

Ian and I had been friends in high school starting in '96. We lost touch after he graduated in '99, then he found me on Facebook in '07. We started dating right away and knew it was something special.

We had our beautiful daughter, Kaitlin, in April of '08 -- got engaged in October of that year and and married on September 5, 2009.

Our colors and theme just centered around us. My favorite color is pink and Ian's is green. I also love anything that sparkles so everything had a touch of sparkle, shimmer, or flair someway or another.

First dance as a family!

If I had to pick one word to describe our wedding, I guess it would be "elegant." We chose a private golf club with amazing food and location to make our wedding one our family and friends would not forget. I made all the invites with inclusion cards, place cards, menu cards, programs -- everything was hand stamped and embellised with rhinestones.

I am a cardiac RN and Ian is a Firefighter/EMT and with such high stress jobs we wanted to have a huge party. What made the day perfect was the fact that Ian actually said the words "You're so beautiful." He is a man of few words and shows his emotions rather than saying them out loud. He even said it in his grooms toast/speech. That is what made the day so perfect.

Such a lovely story to go along with the gorgeous photos -- I got happy chills when I read the last part. Thank you for sharing it with us, Jen. You are so beautiful!
