How cool is it when a woman gets so inspired when she becomes a mom that she decides to quit her job to stay home with her kids and start her own business?
That's what jewelry designer Lisa Leonard did -- and she hand-crafts mommy necklaces, which of course can be grandma, friend, daughter, mommy-to-be necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, and she even has some items for men.
Lisa customizes jewelry, makes initial and name charms and has some of the sweetest, most sentimental sayings on her pieces.
I love the mama necklace shown here for $59...it says "hand holder. dream soother. love giver. mama." And you can change it out to say something other than "mama" as long as it's six characters or less.
I also like how Lisa encourages you to come up with your own design. The dewdrops necklace $77 is shown with two names -- which could be the names of your kids -- or you can have her engrave your favorite words or a saying instead. The base design is there, you make it your own. How cute would it be to get your child's name and also the first word she spoke?
Her designs would make a great push present (hint, hint to my hubs) or gift for any occasion.
Which design and what saying would you get?
