CafeMom Jayrvt gave me this idea for making your own purse out of a decorative scarf. We've already made a headband out of a scarf so why not a handbag?
Here's how to get this look:
1.Choose a 32-inch or 45-inch square decorative scarf.
2. Lay the scarf or fabric face down.
3. Tie a knot about one-third of the way from a corner. Repeat the knotting on the other three corners.
4. For the handles, tie the two bottom "tails" together in a tight knot. Follow with the top two tails.

Oh how cute.
This would be great with a thrift store find too.
Very cute, I have a couple at home, I may try this with...thanks for the idea!
Reminds me of Furoshiki (In Japan they use cloth squares to cover and cary things). I wish I knew more about it because it would be awesome to wrap presents in cloth ^.^
Ooh, I have this table cloth that I hate on my table but would great on my arm.
I just tried it w/a dior scarf i have, it's super cute & easy.
