Makeup-Free: Do You Ever Go Without?

Actress Scarlett Johansson continues French Elle's recent run of au naturale cover girls in the June 2009 issue.

Gosh, can she be anymore freakin' beautiful, even without much makeup?

I don't have Scarlett Johansson's full lips or stunning green eyes — not even close — but I can get by in my daily life without makeup. At least, I don't mind going around with a very natural look. My skin's pretty good, and I don't prioritize any sort of makeup routine.

On a good day, I moisturize and wear mascara. I save eyeshadow and lipstick for the occasional evening outing, and I really like wearing makeup when I do.

Do you go without makeup? How do you feel when you're not wearing much or any makeup at all?

My hubby does not want me to wear a lot of makeup. I feel like I just blend in with the furniture. Or I wear sunglasses and he hates that .. But it makes me look more awake and not so sleepy. I just buy the more expensive blush and eye shadow . Otherwise the colors wear off and you still look tired and then you still have to take the makeuup off and still get a break out from it if it is drugstore bought. Certain makeup you should pay more for.But bronzer and lipstick is fine for the summer.

I have never worn make up so I'm always au naturale. And my skin isn't perfect. I don't care. I hate make up and will never wear it. I didn't wear any to my wedding. In fact I wouldn't even know how to put make up on. The last time I wore any I was like 10 and dressed up as a bride for Halloween so my mom dolled me all up. I hated the feel of the makeup and couldn't wait to go home and wash it all off. I never wore any after that. That was 22 years ago.

I use to wear make up last few years i dont i dont have all the worries about my skin as i did my husband likes it better

IMO mascara is not make-up - just a life necessity. I don't wear makeup daily - just a tinted moisturizer & my life necessity. hee hee

I never (and I mean NEVER) leave my house with at least mascara on. It is my best friend. I do not wear a foundation and not always color on my lips but daily I wear a small amount of eye shadow, eye liner and mascara.

She does look gorgeous, but I have to wonder how much they touched these photos up in PhotoShop?

The only makeup I wear is eye makeup...and I always wear it when I leave the house unless I'm going to the gym or running to the store real quick.

I go without makeup MOST of the time. If I'm going to the store, sometimes I try to throw on mascara and lipgloss, but I don't even always bother with that (it is in my hospital bag, though! hahah!).
