My Hair's Frizzy! Help!

anti-frizz hair

It never fails, my hair looks fantastic when I'm done getting ready and the second I step outside, bam! I look like I stuck my finger in an electrical outlet. Frizz alllll over!

I have the lovely humid summer weather to thank for that. Luckily for me, we have some beauty-savvy moms on here and here's what they recommend:

gemgem: I buy Frizz-Ease and use Pantene leave-in conditioner.

LuckyClown: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum...makes my hair smooth, soft, non frizzy ( I have coarse hair that gets frizzy but doesn't curl or anything). Put it on wet hair to avoid a greasy appearance and it also helps it blow-dry faster.

usbornebooksdh: Advance Techniques Anti-Frizz Capsules by Avon are awesome! I have fine hair and they don't weigh it down but really help with frizz! I also use Mark Salon Straight Anti-Frizz Serum with Invigorating Orange along with the straightening balm of the same brand and they are awesome too, and they smell soooo good!

Do you have frizzy hair? What products do you use to combat against this nature-causing beauty frustration?

I use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum.  I've tried a few different kinds, and that's the one that doesn't weigh down my hair, doesn't make it look or feel oily, but helps control the frizz.

Matrix Sleek Look serum.  Works like a charm.  Only use a small amount if your hair is not thick.

I've tried pretty much all of that stuff and nothing works for me.  I wish they made something for super oily hair.  Any cream or serum instantly makes my roots look dirty but without anything my frizz is insane.  BAH.

aurorabunny, I usually have that issue.  The stuff I use doesn't do it to me, it really surprised me.

if these products are making your hair oily try not to use so much and only put it on the shaft of the hair not close to the roots.

you should also rinse conditioner out of you hair with COLD water not warm or hot. the cold water closes the cuticles on the hair shaft  which helps keep the conditioner in and smooth out the hair. it will also help make your hair shinier.

i usually put conditioner in my hair put it up in a clip and finish my shower, hop out and then stick my head back in and rinse with the cold water.

things like beer, vinegar and mayo are good for smoothing out hair too. pour it on or work a spoon full in then rinse out.

i use two different types of shampoo... finesse moisturizing shampoo and garnie(sp??) fructis smooth and shine shampoo and two types of conditioner finesse moisturizing conditioner and aussiethree minute miracle. which shampoo and conditioner i use depends on how i'm going to fix my hair.

i also use the garnie smooth and shine serum (very sparingly) and brilliantine shine spray. if i'm flat ironing my hair i also use Beyond the Zone Flasher spray(from sally's). it zaps frizz quickly but you have to be careful with it bc again it will make your hair greasy

The best thing I have found is Bio-Silk Silk Therapy.  I simply can't live without it!  Also there is mousse product available called, JOICO, JOIWHIP.  Great stuff!

I miss wearing my hair down. I TRY too. But like you the second I step out the door. UGH!!!  It is crazy I end up putting it up in a bun or ponytail. IT SUCKS. I have biosilk and Tresemme. I think that I need to try something else. To help keep it undercontrol.  I miss the winter time. Maybe they make COLD BUBBLES. LOL

I LOVE Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum. That combined with my Smooth 'n Shine mousse has completely changed the way my hair looks!
