travel with beauty products

Summer's coming and lots of people are traveling -- by planes, trains, and/or cars. When it's just my husband and I, we transfer shampoo, conditioner, and lotions into mini travel bottles. This is also fine if you have kids who are little.

But what about when you have a larger family with tweens or teens who come with all their own products?

This is particularly tricky when traveling by plane. Carry-ons have restrictions and most airlines make you pay for checked luggage -- and it's even more expensive if the bag is over a certain weight. We almost had to pay $90 for a heavy bag when flying last year. I ended up transfering some items and had the heaviest carry-on ever to avoid the fee.

In your experience, what is the best way to travel with beauty products? Share your family size, too, so others can figure out what works best.
