Sleep. Sigh. It feels as if I can never get enough. Even when I'm able to sneak in a nap every once in a while it just doesn't help. And these are three words no one wants to hear: You look tired.

So how can we fake a good night's sleep?


Makeup artist Polly Osmond told Real Simple that if you follow these three steps, those three awful words will never be said to you:

  1. Drink a glass of cold water.
  2. Moisturize your face.
  3. Apply mascara.

Numbers 1 and 2 help get circulation going and 3 makes eyes look more open and awake.
