I should own stock in Urban Outfitters; I shop there so much! Well, actually, stocks...um, not right now. In their newsletter, Urban Smerban (as I call it) has one tunic worn 10 ways...it's actually 11 ways if you count wearing it alone. How perfect is that? There's nothing quite like getting a lot of mileage out of one piece.
1. Wear it alone with a fancy necklace.
2. Add a dressy open cardigan and belt it.
3. Thrown on a jean jacket and statement necklace.

4. Pair it with a pair of long bike shorts.
5. Throw it on with a pair of jeans.
6. Add a loose and flowing vest in a contrast color.
7. Let it be a slip under a see-through dress.
8. Wear it with an over-sized matching open sweater and belt.
9. Let it be the shirt to your shorts.
10. Pair it with a fitted vest.
11. Put it on with a long sleeve button up, sleeves rolled up.
Silence & Noise Coated Tunic ($32) comes in dusty pink, plum, navy, charcoal, and black. I like the price, too!

wow thats a big short to wear without leggings under it. maybe its just me that thinks that though
I don't consider that a tunic. it's a short dress.
I have a couple short dresses. I wear them jeans or my 'yoga pants'. (I'd have worn them alone when I was 19 or 24 with skinny legs and wore a size 4, LOL. not now that I am 37 with teenage kids)
I also have a few tunics I picked up in India. They are straight like a shirt with side slits (like a shirt). though they are anywhere from mid calf to lower thigh- there is no way to wear them alone- the side slits are way too high cut.
wait- no- I looked at it again. there is never a time in my life I'd have worn a dress that short.
Bike shorts and vests? Hell did anybody really like those the first time around in the late 80's. There are very few trends from the 80's that are worth repeating and neither of those is on the short short list! Honestly, I do not think any of the ways they have it styled are that appealing.
I agree with Kiter. I would never in my life have worn a dress that short. Being 6' tall it would look like I bought it in the petites section!
Its too short without anything underneath. It is ok but I'll pass......
